    Update on the craigslist camry.

I think I won't be looking at it any longer.

Turns out I kinda missed my chance since he was a Nigerian Prince or some type of royalty something or other. :D

Actually, I spoke with a couple dealers and they pretty much said that as far as they know, when a cars air bags are deployed, it is usually totaled. The seller has said there is no salvage or rebuild title on the camry and my insurance co. ran the VIN and said they are able to insure it full coverage; something they will not do to a salvage title vehicle.

But even with the air bags replaced and the minor damage repaired....something doesn't seem right.

Yup they almost always total the car after an airbag deploy. I’ve been down that very annoying road. We where given the value of the vehicle and ironically I was able to buy it back at auction but had to have it inspected and titled as rebuilt salvage.

It had almost no damage except the front bumper which was a v in the middle. That’s a while other story point is it was to nice to give up... I Fixed the air bags and bumper got it inspected and drive it for 3 more years till the motor gave up. We where $45.26 in the whole after 3 months of idiocy. The insurance money was used to buy it back at auction and fix it. :loco:

Stupid thing is they total it say it isn’t road worthy won’t allow you to keep it then auction it to somebody that will fix it and drive it....:headbang:

Oh no! It’s spreading. That’s one part, among many, that makes living on the east coast less than perfect.

    Finally!

The yard is almost completely snow free! Grass is showing green (slightly) where the snow first melted. It'll be awhile before the lawn mower is fired up.

Hope to get to the cottage today for some pics of the ice on the lake.

Wisconsin opener today....some lakes still had ice yesterday. There'll be a lot of trucks/boat trailers at the bars this morning!

Horkn .....are you heading up towards Tomahawk? Drive safe!

Naw, I don't fish much, and I need to put new battery cables on the pontoon before I drop it in. That will be memorial day weekend.

Our local biergartens open this weekend. We are meeting friends at one at 2pm today.

We have a mess of limbs to pick up today. Wind did get over 50 mph. Lots of power outages but for a change, we were not amongst them.
