Also, stock stereo broke....got this for 30 bucks, just waiting on the tool to remove the broke stock one. Supposed to arrive tomorrow.....

Is that a pioneer? If so, great buy, and with the stereo conversion mount. Assuming the wire harness is on it too?

All you need is a couple of pieces of coat hanger. Put those in the holes to release the looking clips. Then pull it out.

It's a Panasonic actually, but as long as it does its job I'm happy. I'd have been fine with a stock one for that matter. Seems like the wiring is complete. I'm new to this stuff. Gotta start somewhere I guess. I've heard about the coat hanger trick, but for 5 bucks I thought might as well get the proper tool.

Hopefully get it working tomorrow, I miss my music :headbang:

Horkn, I’m glad Badger is doing better. I know what you mean about them being like our kids. Hoping he’s completely better by the next week

I have almost never (maybe once) gotten a response back from an email only CL ad. I've gotten to where I don't even inquire if it doesn't have a phone #...no idea why you put up an ad and then not reply back to people?!

The coat hangers trick works...but PITA, the correct tool is much gooder.

That's about what I was thinking. For 5 bucks, might as well simplify the process. Funny, I often complicate things to save cash.....but hey, it got me free shipping on about 30 bucks worth of stuff. Or did I spend the 30 to get free shipping on the tool.....maybe both

    Yes it is. Here too.

I got the snowblower put away in the shed, my Audi washed, and the garbage/recycling out to the curb.

Oh yeah, a good nap too.

Nap huh....I'm tired myself, went for a 2.5 hour walk. Don't get enough exercise in the winter, gotta get used to steady moving/working again.

Snowblower......I'd like a snowblower....but I'd like one of those 8' wide ones they put on trucks :dex:

Yeah, now that my pup is feeling better, and not needing a vet visit, I can finally sleep. I sure didn't get much from Friday night until this afternoon.

Understandable my friend. People say dogs are like family, I say "like"???? My dog was just as much my family as a quarter or so of my blood relatives, and a lot more so family than the other 3/4! Glad your pooch is feeling better.

I didn't need anything but a small flat blade screw driver to remove the stock radio from my 2004 Explorer. Just be careful getting it started - I'm a spaz and didn't even mar any surfaces. Course other years/models might be tougher than that.

EDIT: After looking at the video - that is a much fancier "stock" radio than mine so it must be put in differently. Also, my dash is a little different.

I put a quonset hut type tent on CL for free last year. I got nearly 50 emails in two hours before I took it down.

The smart boy that got it was the one that offered to trade for beer in the subject line.

    That beer offer was genious!

I had probably 20 emails in a couple of hours when I put a sled on there. I had to go to the add and put a PPU in the subject line to get them to stop. Also got a bunch of emails on a lawn tractor. I email everyone back - except those who try to extremely lowball in the email. Although I am usually willing to negotiate, I don't put unreasonable prices or expectations out there so I don't see a need to give them a response.

Got my tools and got the stock radio removed.....looks like the radio isn't set up for a ford though, so still need an extra part or 2.

Beautiful day today. 70s in the sunshine. I took the wife and kids out to lunch and then we all got the bikes out. I filled all tires to correct pressure and then loaded the bikes onto the truck and took them all to a place that has a nice biking/walking trail. We went about 4.5-5 miles and they were all ready for a drink and a rest.
