Back is sprained. Didn't know that was a thing. More pills, on vacation for the rest of the week.

    Can you RICE your back?

The IC&E seem counterproductive to the R when it comes to one's back.

I can rest and ice, but that about it. Compression doesn't seem real feasible, and elevation is determined by where I am resting.

Staying up late and sleeping in, or drinking a lot of barley pop? I think I know the answer.

I took it nice and slow, but I did finally get to prove my theory by popping the glass from one of our decrepit storm windows into one of the upstairs bathroom windows. As I feel better I may try to get a few downstairs ones done if I can find appropriately sized storms. I have until Tuesday.

I think your doctor probably told you to take it easy, right? And that is what you are doing, right? That is like Campinspecter trying to chisel out cement with his amputated finger all bandaged up. I won't repeat what he said as he hit the finger with a sledgehammer.

Yep, nice and slow. He also told me to try to be active for small spurts and to stretch a lot. Check.

There is a lot of sense in the stretching and moving. When my Grandfather had a fall and wrenched his back, he wouldn't sit still for very long. Just kept going up and down stairs to put wood in the furnace. I think he recovered quicker because he kept moving. As you know, if you sit too long, it really hurts to move.
