One more day of work today for 12 hours. Then I have several days off. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I will hopefully finish my last push on the clean up of the two areas at camp Tue. and Wed. When done, I will spread top soil all around the camp area where I dug up those Maple stumps, and in the two sections where I have trimmed up a lot of branches and brush, the top soil I have in a pile down by the pond. Hopefully by Thursday I will be ready to plant grass seed in all of these areas. I am afraid to see what it will cost me in seed. But I do want to plant some, especially around the camp. Prolly spend $200 on seed. Yikes. They sell a St. Lawrence Mix at the local Agway that seems to do well here for me so I will buy that.

The seasonal work grind is on . Barely enough time to sleep eat and drink.
Picked some baby spinach leaves out of the garden today bigger than my hand. Turned in some chicken dookie this winter and its paying off. Been on the warm side here lately surprised the spinach hasn't bolted already.
My wood is about all put up.
Moving the Queen to the castle in a few weeks. Travel time is starting to annoy me.
Sheared my border collie a week ago. Looks like a convoy of 18 wheelers ran over her but shes cool and happy.
For as bad as a winter we had wood sales are way off for this time of year. I think everyone just wants to forget about winter for a couple decades after that bruiser !

Down and out for a bit...Left work this morning for the Dr. Office. with intense pain in my right shoulder/neck area. It started on Saturday Morning at 4 am when I awoke in tense pain. It was managable all weekend long, but I knew it was there. But I woke up at about 12 this morning with that intense pain again in my neck/ shoulder area. I couldn't get comfortable so I just left for work. I fought til about 8:30 this morning. Well, I got some pain killer and some muscle relaxer and a shot in my Buttox... at the Dr. Office. But I've got one heck of a ball on my shoulder muscle. I dont know what the heck happened, but this is the most intense pain and none stopping pain that I've ever had. Right now its still there, but the pain is very intense and still locked in the right shoulder area. So hopefully the muscle will relax and all will be fine.

Chvyman99. I told you your getting too old for keg stands with those younger guys. Sounds like you slipped and banged your shoulder on the keg. It's okay man. Don't be :emb:. ZAP hurt both shoulders in one weekend doing that when he was younger around here.

    Hope you feel better man!

I hope it feels better soon for you! Shoulder pain is no picnic, I tore my rotator cuff 2 years ago and my shoulder and neck have never been the same!

Ugh! Rained last night, sprinkling earlier. Kid home sick! Dam, worked not started yet. This is getting me a late start. I did the bills though. That is always fun and uplifting! NOT!

And Grandma is going to watch the wee one so I can get to work. She can lay on the couch at her house. Yea Grandma!

When it rains it pours... We've been blessed with some awesome rain in the last week or so. But the last 18 hours of rain is making water come into my basement through my basement drain. :hair:.... I've never seen this before, so I'll have to go figure out what causing that. So now I'm back upstairs eating breakfast and putting heat and ice on the shoulder. We've gotten about 3 inches since yesterday and 3 ish in the last week.

o_OThat is a lot of rain. We have had some beautiful weather here lately. Lots of sun, which is nice because it is drying things out. Now we are going to get some rain the next few days. 60% Wed. and Thurs.

I was able to get some work done today. The rain stopped early and Grandma watched the wee one. So I got back to work with the Bobcat moving old blocks, rocks, and other junk. Plus cut some of my grass. Wish I had cut it all today. Prolly won't get to finish it tomorrow or the next day. :eek:That could create a problem. It is getting long. And I am back to work after that.

We got a little over 2" of rain yesterday in the course of about 2 hours. My yard is full of debris from the small river that developed in it. I've only seen it do that one other time and that's when we got 3" in 45 minutes.

It's mostly small twigs and leaves and whatnot. Nothing the mower can't easily dispatch...blades need sharpened anyway...good reason to actually do it after I mow next time.

Great luck earlier today. The rain held off all morning. I cut the rest of the grass first. Then went to work moving some boulders around at the camp with the Bobcat. I wanted to get the topsoil all moved and dumped and spread around today. I started on that and brought two very full bucket loads up from the pile to right next to the camp. Then I thought about the fact that I better get any large rocks in place for landscaping I want first. Get anything big moved and placed wherever I want it. Then do the topsoil and get things finished off. So I sat for a bit and decided where I wanted to put all the big boulders. The kids love playing on them walking across them and jumping from one to another. Plus they look nice. So I made a long, long row of them. With an access in between about half way down the row, where the camp side walk is. Made that opening about 12-14 foot wide I guess. And then on both ends of the row near the woods line I left a good 14 foot or more opening as well. So I can get the Bobcat, Tractor, or truck through any of these three points with out having to move any of these big guys. I will snap some pictures of it when it is not raining. This also took care of two birds with one stone. Hardy har. About 6-7 of the stones I moved were at the end of the parking lot and I did not like them in that position for plowing reasons. I always wanted to move them to a different spot so I could push the snow back even further if I want to. Now that is done.

I took a break and went to the three little ones picnic at school at 10:45. It started raining at about 11:45 I guess. We just had time to eat part of our lunch outside and then into the cafeteria to finish it off and eat the ice cream! Then off to play in the gym for a while and race through some big inflatable mazes and slides the school had paid to have for the kids. They had fun. I got back home about 12:30 and went back to work in the rain. But it wasn't too hard of a rain yet. Finishing placing another 8-9 large rocks before it got too wet to keep working. Having the cab was nice because it allowed me to work even though it was raining. I got another 1.5 hours in while it was raining. Then it really starting coming down. We are getting drenched now. From the looks of the weather forecast it will prolly be the same for tomorrow. And might be until next Wed. before I can get to finishing it off with the rest of the topsoil, then York raking it all and then planting that grass seed. FINALLY. There is always something else that comes up. Oh well. Life is making the best of the situation and having fun doing it!
