The screws that hold the metal braces (that hold the chimney in place), similar to this
2BABAB37-413C-4409-9543-51711E797038.jpeg had loosened over the years. So much that the braces finally fell off at the chimney.

We had some wind coming a few weeks back so I rented a trailer style boom lift from a guy I know. Got it all fixed inside of an hour and a half and tightened a few screws on the roof as well. It is now in good, strong, shape.

Sometime I want to rent that lift from him for a week. Use it to complete the soffit and fascia on the barn and trim trees. I have a big Pine I should take down as well. It’s too close to the power line that comes to our house. The lift would let me piece it down. I am worried about it every time we have high winds. Like now.:picard:

Lazy day. Woke up about 8 and had breakfast. I didn't sleep good at all last night and retired to my chair for a little TV time. Fell asleep and woke around noon feeling great.
Went to the work shop for a little more cleaning. I just couldn't get into it today and stopped after 1 1/2 hours. Plus it was a little cold.
Came in and started to dig through my fly fishing gear in anticipation of my June Alaska Grayling trip. Got the flies sorted and took inventory of what I have to get.
Made up some stuffed peppers for supper.
Hate those non-motivated days. To many of these lately.

We got 4" of white concrete mud. A lot is already melted from one sunny, but cold day.

I have had several of those days myself over that’s three weeks. I think I’m just sick of winter and on top of that there hasn’t been much sun. But spring is getting here. It’s just taking its sweet azz time.

Heading out for morning coffee. Then, waiting for a phone call form insurance company.

Probably light of the kicker stove in the basement today. May get below zero the next three overnights. Yay!

Caffeine going in. Breakfast with Dad this morning. Kids got a 2-hour delay, due to power outage last night I guess.

I haven't even managed to move wood from the stacks to the basement. I've been burning poplar meant for the fireplace, that's stacked in the screened porch.

We had a lot of trees brought down by the wind last night. :( Too bad. Luckily none right around the house. Oh well. Time to make some firewood!:saw::thumbs::rootintootin:

I'm on the propane furnace these days. The cold snap really put a dent in my stacks, which I wasn't planning on making it all the way through anyway.
