Mornin' Hoarders, woke up to +4 and we did get the 1" of snow they had predicted. Supposed to start warming up by this weekend
with temps in the 40's and rain. This winter has been unbelievably strange by our standards. Seems all the moisture is staying south along the border. Last winter at this time, we were shoveling off roofs. Right now we have about 3" of "concrete" style snow and a continuation of this trend for the foreseeable future. February and March could be interesting though. Everyone have a great and safe day.

S NH is in the target zone for 9", tonight into tomorrow. Boston getting lower amounts. I hope not much chaos ensues, I have to go down there on Thursday to meet a plumber. Not socially.

They are finding all kinds of things to do with MIG engines. I saw something the other day where they used MIG engines to blow water over burning oil wells so they could cap them.

Got a little colder than expected last night...supposed to be 0...is now -7. Usually they miss it the other way around. I would have cranked up the stove a touch higher if I knew that, but the house was still 68 when I woke up.

Good one... it's in my mother's condo, which sat empty after I moved her to the memory care home. Now we've got renters, who promptly discovered that the shower didn't work. A snowstorm or two later, the plumber is scheduled for Thursday. He'll have to shut the buildings water off for part of the day, to install cutoffs for the shower and replace the old valve. He'll also have to cut a big chunk out of the shower wall, which he will replace with some sort of prefab panel. The tenants (who I'm comping on rent) will let him in, but I'm going down there after they leave for work.

Pouring rain this morning. Off down island shopping so it will be a wet one. Yesterday started off with sunshine and wild wind. By quitting time, it was raining. this is going to last all week. Doesn't matter the weather, I am going to enjoy today.

Many chores to do today. Should get some good exercise this morning doing them.

Empty ash can out on the garden.
Bring more firewood into the basement.
Feed horses and throw down a few more bales of hay and stack them.
Dump run for parents and us and get diesel for tractor.
Clear the snow off camp road from last 12” storm. And clean up this little bit of 2” we got last night.

    I better get a move on. E44C3716-1B50-4D2C-A9CA-8A1FB6A6DCAB.jpeg

Good morning, 3 below zero and I have a few inches of snow to clear after I fire up the stove in the garage.
The truck has been parked for several days and needs cleaned up..might even sharpen a couple saw chains.
    Be safe out there.

Trying to decide if I want to shove around some white stuff or just wait and hope it melts in a couple of days.

I haven't seen the 9" prediction. I've seen 2-4" and 4-7", and then there is 3-6". There must be another source that I haven't seen (Wunderground, WMUR, NH1 are the sources I've looked at).

My motto is take the worst prediction and count on that so I welcome another source.
