:hair:... boys... just boys... hehehe... mark that one down Jet... that's what boys do isn't it? When I was about 6, my next door neighbor and I almost burned our house down. All we were doing was playing with a lil fire in an old wooden birdhouse we found on the ground. How did we know it might start the whole bank on fire and almost get the house too... when we threw it down the bank before our baseball game... yep, loved fires early...

It's very good that your son wasn't in front of it when it went.

Today I pulled out the 30yr old round rail fence along the front of my property and got 22 new posts set and leveled. So glad that mrs piney is still able to help me with some of these projects. It was nice to have a another set of hands to hold the level.

    Now it's beer time! :drunk:

Do you think an impression was had by your son who played with gravity this morning and got lucky? I know it depends on the age too. At the very least he learned that Dad's stuff can fall over and make a he'll of a lot of noise when it crashes. That makes Dad come quick and he's usually not happy. Might be enough right there... ;) Can be a delicate balance between teaching them to be cautious without making them afraid of everything, can't it? I bet your boys will learn how to stay away from most things that can hurt them, by taking in some of the things you do in your work. Pretty good classroom for them right there.

    Nice work Piney!

Worked today, then went to two nephews college grad. party. (twins) Good food, family and we got to play several volleyball games. Good times. Now it is off to see Godzilla with the wife. Gotta see Godzilla. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Babysitter for the kids. Mmmmm, popcorn and a glass of colored sugar, fizz, and water to go with!

Took it easy today, a rare feat for me. Wife and I took the dogs for a long walk this morning, cut the lawn this afternoon and fixed the mower after I broke it. We also planted a new rose bush on the side of the house in honor of my wifes Grandmother (who passed away last week, RIP nana) oh, yeah...had a couple sea dogs and a nap until 630....awesome!

Finally some decent weather. I moved the snow blower to the back of the shed and took out the mower. The shed stunk like mouse whizz. I found a leftover bag of corn gluten lawn treatment that the mouse ate over the winter. Let's just say there were more mouse pellets than corn gluten pellets in the bag.

Went to camp and cooked food. The sun actually came out and the kids went swimming. It was showers including a bit of crash, bang, boom on the way home and after we got back home. First on tomorrow's list is mow the lawn (hay the field).

Yea I think he learned from this one. I don't get real worked up over much so I think the noise alone put a little fear in him. Bad thing is he's not afraid of much. I don't know where that comes from. Can't be me. We'll see if he learned sooner than later as he loves tools. Going to try to rig something up.

Sounds like mine. I fugure you can't wrap them in a bubble the best you can do is try to keep a good eye on them. I had all 3 boys outside and just let my guard down. Figured he was just grabbing a ratchet like dad. Like I said he's in my tools all the time. He's only 3 and man the stories I could tell. Best you can do is steer them in the right direction and hope they don't get hurt when something does happen. I am not a helicopter parent they have to figure some stuff out on there own. Oh well we are off to drown worms. Will post pics if I get hooked.
