It’s a double edge sword. Looks like you have a much shallower pitch. Defiantly don’t have to worry about it daming up any more!

I really want to comment on different roof materials, but it appears the climates are too different, or the homes I've lived in are built different. Also, I didn't even know there was another kind of metal roof beyond the welded/crimped/standing seam.

A number of years ago we had to reshingle our roof. We went with metal shingles. We do have snow sliding off into the driveway right in front of the garage and also sliding off onto our deck at the back of the house. The shingles are interlocking so we shouldn't have any problems with wind.

So, mom wasn't well enough, strength wise after physical therapy, they wouldn't release her from the hospital.

My brother flies into town tomorrow, I hope she's well enough to get out of the hospital tomorrow.

Monin... :coffee:... this thaw coming is gonna make lots of water happen with no where to go... cept in the garage or... :headbang:... guess I'll whip up a small tarp tent and hang a flood light shooting at the area where the water disappears usually. Does a good job if there's enough time before the rain. Been so cold last couple weeks, I'm sure the frost is down quite a bit. I. Hates. Winter. Rain.

That reminds me that I'll have to put the extender pipe on the outlet for the sump in the garage so it is pumped out away from the house and the propane tanks.

Same problem here Stinny. My wood shed is low and is fast becoming surrounded by water. Hate mid-winter thaws. Ground is frozen. No where to go. :hair: Chief

Maybe they will want to send her to rehab for awhile. Good thing is Medicare will likely pay, bad thing is it's another kind of hospital, and not home...
I hope she can keep food down and get stronger.

Our painter artist is a full time teacher and Mom of three, so she has been busy. Not done yet but made some real nice progress last night.

Loving this. We're up to 37 now and hoping for higher temperatures. Freezing rain predicted amounted to nothing. That is good. Hopefully not much rain tonight or tomorrow.

Interesting day here, pellet stove choochin' along on medium. Warm for this time year, dark skies look like they are ready to dump a bunch of snow but its light rain instead.

Storm is going to roll in overnight here. I think the area schools didn't get enough time off during the holidays since they have already cancelled for tomorrow! :picard:
