Man was it cold this morning. I knew it was cold when I opened the garage. Then before the sun came up, I looked at the temp gauge on my car. It read zero. I didn't see that on the late news?

Whatever, my overnight pine load in the stove worked well enough, the furnace never kicked on, and I have the t stat set at 67. Had I known that it was too drop that low, I'd have put mostly beech in the stove instead of pine.

Overall it wasnt terrible for ice fishing...all those deaths were people riding on machines, we always just walk to our spots for ice fishing. Doesnt take much ice at all to hold up a person on foot.

Theres really only one route I take across Lake Winni on my sled, from Mirror Lake (Libby Museum) across to Carry Beach, then past Wolfeboro Harbor over to the Kingswood Golf Course. Its a straight forward, highly traveled section of lake since its really the only quick way to connect to other trails from my house without going all the way around. Other than that one stretch I dont wander around Lake Winni on sled at all...too many variables for me.

Sad nevertheless though, I do remember that day specifically as my wife is always nervous about us being on hard water and made sure to bring those tragedies to my attention...

I work at a truck accesory shop part time when they need me, was my full time job before i started towing.
Anywho... Been there all week, building and installing snow plows.
These are all going on "E-on" trucks. I guess e-on is great big on the wind turbines..
Also doing a john deer gator. Thats my coworker there, finishing up some hydraulic
    hoses.

These are 9'2" poly v plows.
    Frikken back hurts.

Also... Tow company bought a 2001 Mack 35 ton.

They can spend $200k on a truck but cant buy me a frikken tail light or a set of cables for my bed mounted
    controls.

Cant wait to move.... So cannot wait to move.

Happy Birthday Oldhippie, have a great day in beautiful Ashby! We've been to a few antique piano concerts in the church, and love Willard Brook!

And wildwest, I hope you get some pampering today, because you are so special! Hold your head high, you are living life on your own terms and we admire you for it!

Thanks! The antique piano concerts are actually in the next town over, in Ashburnham, but Willard Brook is Ashby. We are probably the most eastern town in Massachusetts that only has one flashing yellow light. :)

I'm now pretty much an antique now myself.
