It's garbage that came from of my project house when we had to remove the porch and bathroom, and random old junk from inside the house. Been there a few years, I've had enough of seeing it plus been doing some work on the land so want it gone and out of the way :)

This is a good cat, technically belongs to my great aunt and uncle (useless idiot who hit my dog with his truck and couldn't seem to let anyone know) but isn't cared for properly so we do what we can to help. See him less since they moved out of next door, built a house about 2 min away. Still comes up at times. Has a personality more like a dog is known for than a cat.

Pallet Pete that is true with a garage! but insurance and states regs will let you put wood heaters in a shop.. so questions is how to classify a garage as a shop... mine says put in a lift ... darn it that' a bummer

It’s the fumes from chemicals such as gas in garages they claim will blow you up.

My point is and has been a furnace has exposed flames every time it’s lit so hows that different than opening a wood stove door?

It’s a stupid law based on ignorance.

To be a shop I have to be zoned as a buisness or seal up the garage doors permanently to make it the same laws as a house.

My insurance company told me that it is alright to put a wood stove in a garage as long as it is in a separate room.

OK, I was building a workshop in there anyway!

Now you have me thinking about the laws for wood heat in my extra detached garage that's merely a figment of my imagination.

I know the garage/ outbuilding can't be taller than the house. That kinda sucks as I was planning on having the upper level a guest room type of thing. That doesn't preclude me from still making some sort of living quarters in the garage, but it does complicate things.

I moved the trailer back up to the upper part of my yard so it can be accessed easily. I can always haul the remaining wood in the driveway stack down to the stacks by the tractor she'd with the ice fishing sled if need be. I already hauled a row from the driveway stack with the sled yesterday. It's down hill, so not that bad.

One of these days I'll get a pic of the stack by the tractor shed. Those short days allow me just enough time to get the work done, and not get any pictures taken.

Caffeine going in. It is downright nasty outside. The wind is blowing pretty good and the snow is coming down pretty hard. I’ll have to do some inside work today and wait for more of that snow to drop before I go out and start cleaning it up.

Can’t be taller than the house? Interesting..

Around here that’s the thing to do apparently buy a crappy house and put up a two story garage that doesn’t increase the value. :whistle:
    I jest I jest. ( a little )

I’m getting an ice fishing shanty this year I never got to building one so off to buy it this year. Assuming there are still cheap ones if not it’s a bucket and heavy jacket again.

It’s real feel 3F but not much snow here. Just loaded up the stove off one heck of a coal bed and then it’s coffee time. Be safe Gasy!

Mornin' Hoarders, a big 13 here this a.m.. Heard all the hoopla about the "first big storm of the season all day yesterday. Well, we got about a inch of snow and by the looks of the radar we might double it. We are on the northern edge with the bulk of the mess south of us. Looks like Gas & Woodlands will get a good taste though. :coffee: :flipeggs:gonna happen then out to the shop. Everyone have a great, safe day.

Looks like it's headed to Maine in a couple days. Wish it was here right now so it would dry out the snow comin' down... ;)

Good late morning, mid 20 and "blustery" out of doors.
A little freezing rain had the schoolhouse delayed 2 hours this morning.
Trying to get motivated to put a starter and/or a power steering pump on the Ol' Black and Crusty Cherokee.
The power steering is a chore that's been on the back burner,,the starter reared it's ugly head with the colder temps.
Re-lit the woodstove in the detached garage while ago,,looks like a little History channel is in order til both the Ol' cherokee and garage warm up out there!

Temperature is still falling. Was surprised when I got up around 2:00 this morning and the temperature was at 27. One hour later it was 23. A couple hours later it was 16. Supposed to fall all day. Wood is ready to be burned...
