Yesterday and today while i was splitting. They are now in the wood shed, open to wind and sun but not rain, snow etc. Most of them are around 19 in the middle and down to 14/15 at the edges.

Ended up getting the element 39".

The 43" vizio was not to be found! Go figure, right? Both are smart TV, but I honestly don't think I'll ever need that feature. I also picked up a wall mount for $10 and the TV is mounted in the basement at this point. I just may run and get a cable box for it tomorrow morning and then give the picture a good scrutiny to decide if I'll keep it or not.

For a buck and a quarter though, not too bad!

badbob Taking awhile to catch up on this thread after the Thanksgiving holiday. You should not feel bad about wood working skills. My favorite wood working tool is a chainsaw. I am very good at making sawdust. If you do the whole css stuff, you are doing great.:thumbs:

We snagged one of those 43" online. At first it said out of stock both yesterday and today. Then while looking at some other stuff I seen their site showed one in stock...I figured maybe someone returned one. So I proceed to checkout to lock it down...then it said out of stock again...but when I went back to the main site it said 4 in stock...before it was all over they were saying 7 in stock...but none were available to be shipped, and none at our local store...I was gonna say screw it but the wife had the idea to pick one up from a store about 25 miles from here that was showing stock and then have her brother who lives near there pick it up on the way here for that side of the family's turkey day tomorrow... I figured we'd get a email saying they were actually out of stock, but nope...ready for pickup  $30 more got us the 4 year extended warranty...which I have had opportunity to try out on a Acer computer before...and they fixed 'er right up, no hassle at all.

I hooked it up to the HD box in the living room just to see how the picture looked. It'll probably be just good enough for the workshop/basement.

But the real surprise is that it is a color TV! Imagine my surprise! How lucky is that? Now, when the TV stations here in the U.P. start broadcasting in color, I'll be all set!!!

So how do you know it is actually a color TV if the stations aren't broadcasting in color. Could be false advertising and you would never know it. Hey, I volunteer to help you out - just ship it over my way and I'll hook it up to my cable to check it out. Of course it may take a while for me to ship it back . . .

Morning Folks...........woke up to 40 degrees and cloudy. Supposed to drop this afternoon to below freezing with some wet snow, and further drop tonight into the low 20's. :coffee: :flipeggs:taking place and then out to the shop to do some reloading. Trap shooting season is pretty well kapoot around here for the winter. Last winter I had reloaded 5,000 rounds and now my magazine is just about empty cept for a couple hundred rounds. So time to get back into gear and ready for the 2018 season. Every one have a great day and stay safe..................

I'm eating leftover pie with a fresh cup of coffee, while 2 pots of turkey stock are cooking away. No fire this am as the kitchen stove is taking care of keeping it warm in here.

I'll probably be in the shop with my son as he has taken to woodturning quite easily. He is making a mallet.

I hope to finish splitting the locust and stack it away somewhere.

The fluorescent light on the ovens exhaust hood took a poop. Gonna have to take that all apart and see if it is salvageable or not.

Also, 99 found some stuff at Menards (gotta love it!) and probably start that project for her this coming week.....I'll have to check my schedule and see if I have any time off! :D What do you think the chances are rottiman ??

Just a little bit of paneling for a wall. 8" strips of pine planking. 5/16 thick by about 3 1/2 wide.

Using fiber board on the top of the stand for fire protection it’s gonna be two layers thick. Still have to put in floor and wall anchors:whistle:
