Element is a house brand. I have one of their 19" hdTV's, and it works great. We've had it like 5 or so years, no issues. Vizio, we've had a 32" HD since 2008 in our LR as our main tv. Not one single issue. I'd say get the Vizio, for the few extra dollars.
Our last tv was an Element, worked fine, but died at at almost exactly 24 months. We've had a Vizio for about a year now that replaced it. We have a Sanyo from our anniversary in 2007 still. (after the new one that came in the 5th wheel died at only a couple months old when we were living in it in the backyard during remodeling) we installed it in there, darn thing still runs great, 10 years now!
Morning all. We had a great trip yesterday and now I have squeaky clean teeth. Did a little shopping and now I have waterproof boots to do the walks in the morning. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Good morning, coffee with freezing temps which will top out in the low 50's. No shopping madness for this clan, never has been,,never will be. Meeting the FIL @ some pre-fab restaurant for lunch and I get to work this evening. Hoping this finds you good people well. Be safe in your travels. Peace.
We have had good reliability with Vizio. Do not forget to look at the definition and contrast. The higher, the better the picture. The less expensive ones are usually 720 DPI, I think it’s called. Better if you go with 1020. I forget the numbers for contrast.
You have to look pretty hard for 720p screens now, especially on bigger sets. 1080p is the standard now, then there's 4k and UHD. Look at the refresh rate too. Get at least 120 hz.
Just in the kitchen cooking some bacon for my wife (don’t tell her I ate a couple strips) when I hear a wuthump! I think think this is Lucy talk for give me bacon and scratch my belly
Heading up to cut another bale of slab wood for the neighbors. Still shaking ma' head about Black Friday. Stopped at WalMart last night for dog food and sweet tea. It was only 6:30. Parking lot was half full, place was jammed with people in lines. By the time I got the dog food, and the tea(other side of the store), 45 minutes. Parking lot was 3/4 full when I left. Madness, MADNESS I TELL YOU !!!
Here it is 3 PM and I am still sitting around in my PJ's. Black Friday is limited to whatever I can do at my keyboard. I am not a crowd person. I'll stay away from WalMart. there have been a couple of shootings up there. Not something I want to take a chance on. I don't move so good these days. If I need to go out to shop, I will plan to hit the stores right around opening time. Best times to shop except for Black Friday. These days, I can do about anything I want for shopping right from my chair. I am too old, too fat, and too intolerant of shopping madness.
I finally got the leaves cleaned up in my yard. Emptied a plastic shed that needs to be moved, then took a better look at a blow down oak from the last storm. Looks like it was standing dead, I'll have to see how wet it is up top!
I never was lucky enough to get oak that didn't need to sit split for a couple of years before it could be used without that sizzle.
