    Upgrade in progress

Stupid jack sits to low and hits everything in sight so I found a jack at Farm And Home on clearance for $24. Somehow it ended up attached to my trailer today..:whistle::whistle:

WW how has yours held up?
I wonder how fast the new one will rust:whistle: Super cheap plastic cover on it too. I bet it will fly off on the first trip. :loco:  BUT it was $24.

I'm sorry I don't know more details, we have not moved it since 2014 :picard:. I just looked at it the best I could down the yard, the handle on the crank is red but I can't tell if the the cap is plastic.... That said, it's still sitting higher, and has not blown off the block and broke the weld on the hitch in high sustained winds here like another trailer we've used. (and we don't get much rust here). There's your noninformative answer, sorry.

Even if yours only lasts a couple years $24 is still a steal in my book.

Did manage to get some outside work done today before the tractor decided to give me problems, again. :hair:

I finished cleaning out the detached garage and moved the rotary cutter into the back of it. That and the backhoe will be kept in there over the winter, along with a few other implements. Several days ago I moved the mowers and wood splitter into the barn. (Easier to move them into bays in barn and have a straight shot in detached garage for larger implements.)

Then removed the backhoe, attached 3-point hitch, and started York raking the pasture for my wife. Then the problems with the tractor started again. Then, I decided to stop.

Is that a tier 4 set up? Are you having re-gen problems?

I don't know what the problem is. I'm far from a mechanic.

I know that Kubota was having issues on some of the tractors over 26hp because of the DEF issues. Not sure if Mahindra was as well. What is it doing (or not doing)?

One of the reasons I went with Mahindra is they have no DEF.

It is losing power. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to when. At 50 horsepower with R-1s, I should be able to pull a York rake like it was nothing.

When you have time you can read this thread and see my excitement slowly go downhill.

Wow, just read that. You Sir, have the patients of a saint. I would have freaked out well before now. I have always found that it pays to start at the top and work downward. Upper management really doesn't want to deal with disgruntled customers so Chit flows downhill to middle management. As much as you hate to do it, PERSISTANCE (more commonly known as the squeakiest wheel gets the most grease) is usually the only way to get any forward movement to fix the problem. Usually by the 4th or 5th phone call to the top of the ivory tower things get moving with more than promises and check into it's.

Went to the cottage today and stopped by where I last saw the owl.. No longer there, but sure were a lot of tracks to the spot where I saw it last. Not man tracks, though.

It was pretty tracked up with critter tracks. Someone's dog came in from the road. People tracks up to the edge of the ice. An official had tried to recover it, but scared it onto the ice while dragging along a animal kennel. The tracks I could make out on the ice were from a larger bird (crow) but there were no stains or feathers or signs of struggle. Only one thing looked peculiar. It looked like a bit of a drag mark/ or a skid mark from something about 5-6 feet long coming towards the shore; now I don't know if a net was thrown out over it and he was dragged in or not.

laziness got the best of me tonight. I went out onto the enclosed porch to grab some wood to load the stove. I surveyed the pile, plenty of shoulder maple, but all in lengths that need to be cut down to fit in the AS. Found one 16" split at the bottom, then looked to the left and picked up an armload of locust and oak. Packed the crap out of the stove, and I guess we will now see how long I can get it to burn low n slow.

I'll hope for netting drag marks and that beautiful owl is in rehab :)
