Caught up on some needed sleep this morning. Then my son and I moved another 3-3.5 face cord of firewood under cover. Only about 3 more face cord to go. The area under the porch is getting full. We both then went into the big city and returned movies to rental place and then went and took care of some errands. Air in tire of wife's car, gas in her car. Few groceries, book of stamps, etc. Now it's time to relax. Sip a couple cold beers and then have a light dinner and watch TV a while. Dogs are relaxing as usual.

 

You have movie stores??? I haven' seen one of those around here in many years.

Yes. We have a local woman who rents movies, and also does some gaming rentals and sales. A little of this and a little of that. It's a cool place. We also have a couple Red Boxes around.

Yeah.........and slushies, Red Bull, smokes and just about anything else you might need. Those places are a essential part of any local area but unfortunately a dying breed.

 

We have a family video here in town. We used red box as well, but now Redbox is actually more than the family video is. Also, if the movies are a couple months old, you get them for 5 days, not 1. So, we've been renting from Redbox less.

 

love those stores, I used to stop into them when snowmobiling. They are still all over rural Maine.

 

I went out to my buddy's house, split a bunch of beech and some cherry. We then shot our deer rifles to verify they are on. I also shot both of my 9mm's. My buddy made a 100 yard shooting range with his bosses skid steer. He also built a nice 2 person shooting bench. It's nice to not have to pay to sight in your guns. I was going to take a picture, but my phone died.

I was shooting my Ruger m77 mk2 SS all weather in 7mm Remington mag, my buddy was shooting his ar15 in .450 , and our other friend was shooting his Browning BAR in 30-06. I shot my s&w sv92 and my 1941 all original Walther p38. I also car hoarded a trunk load of beech and cherry.

 

Caffeine going in. Couple days off. Lots of small things to do on the agaenda for today. You hoarders enjoy your day and make sure you have some fun one way or another. Even if only moving some firewood into the stove. Oops. Excuse you. That was one of the dogs.
