I'm recovering from a late night, had a pulsator go down in the barn made chores take forever. Then I had to go fix my moms garage door, crawled in bed at 1. Currently enjoying the first fire waiting to go to church.
My wife will occasionally remind me on a Sunday that it is, in fact, a Sunday, and that I should take a chill tablet. I like your attitude, ......it's how we did things when I was a kid.
The problem goes deeper than Tomlin. Time for another rebuild and get rid of the offensive coach. We are in store for some off years AGAIN..........
Almost forgot, might get to work in the garden today (if the rain holds off) getting things pulled and prepped for next year. Need to do some work in the shop, and there are some Maple blowdowns in the woods that need to be taken care of. We've been babysitting my brother's dogs while they're out of town, so 'll be picking up my wife in a while from their place (she stayed overnight).
You got that right, Rotti!! I mean, lets face it.....Rothleisberger can only hold out so much longer with NO OFFENSIVE LINE.... Polamalu only has so much longer How much longer will Ike Taylor hang around?? And that said, with the team in shambles, how long is a real "start" RB or Reciever gonna stick around? They've got problems. If only the Rooneys would keep their nose out of the management end of the team, things MAY get better...but I'm betting my youngest kids will be graduating before we see a good team in the 'Burg again (and that's gonna be quite a while)!
My fear is that Big Ben isn't gonna be able to last taking the weekly beatings.............. We've been thru rebuilds before, but like you said, this one is gonna be a while in the making.
Getting ready to replace the timing chain on my wife's Grand Caravan. She was wanting a new car but I think I can keep this one running for a few more years. It only has 194K on the clock. The interior is still nice and so is the body. With that many miles it has lost any real value to sell it so we may as well keep driving it.
Insulating the basement. Trying to make it as easy to heat as I can without spending much money. Insulation down wall to about frost line. Maybe 3 feet below ground.
I tend to not pay attention to what day it is, now that I've been retired for a few years. We got out and did some work in the garden, as planned, but I had to cut up a small Poplar that fell in there earlier this year, before we could do much. Got that bucked and put back in the splitting area. There's more work to be done in there, but we got a good start and then the rains came...........again. My wife put a nice big 1/2 squash in the oven before we went out. It's almost done.
I changed the oil in the super duty, washed it too along with the quads. Helped a neighbor move some chit, , ate some pizza and am watching the eagles. Oh yea, I also shaved my head.
The twins ( almost 3) both have a cold. Sitting arounfpd the house, wiping noses, trying not to get cranky, or snap at the wife for being cranky ( nobody here a slept much) On a positive note, Did finish rebuilding the stove finally. Watched some of the Pats game with my son. About to finish off the last of the Hacker Pschoor Oktoberfest.
Up at 5 AM, drove 2 hours to a customers location , worked until 2 PM, drove 2 hours home, now drinking a beer, watching tv and catching up here.
