Low 60's to low 70's today with lots of rain, thunderstorms and possible flooding by Mon. morning.
Coffee is on and it's off to the workhouse with me.
    Good day to you folks.

I hate DST for the fact that I don't see daylight except on weekends for several months. I leave for work at 4:45 am, and get to work before the sun rises (EST or not). Then, during DST, I leave work at sunset and get home in complete dark. Non-DST at least it is daylight for a little while after I get home (and before leaving for my night job)

Caffeine going in. Not raining now, but it did overnight. I can see some small puddles of water. I have to finish the chicken enclosure this morning and then it's time to take the rest of the day off. I need some down time and to spend that time with wife and kids.

Just took on a feed of wild blueberry pancakes covered in fresh local honey and a side of thick sliced smoked bacon, followed by 2 mugs of coffee. Too wet today for wood stacking and we are supposed to get a chit load of more rain thru tonight. Shop day for sure. Everyone stay safe.

Pretty good thunderstorm here ATM. We'll head to Church and then work on reloading some ammo for deer season.

rain isnt supposed to hit here until tonight/tomorrow. Earlier in the week they were calling for rain today. Patriots have a bye week, so I will take advantage and get some more yard work done today. I have a large stack of 3X4 oak braces that I need to break apart and cut to length. Hopefully my back is up for some sledgehammer work.

Frosty this morning. Clear skies with a full moon this morning. Going to take a load of firewood to Mom's today and then move wood around to fill the basement. Looks like a perfect day for it. Yesterday we got our first snow thanks to the arctic front from Alaska. Thanks bogydave and Rope Probably the earliest we have had snow in a long time. Fortunately it warmed up during the day and the rain made it disappear.

Got our daily exercise this morning resetting clocks. Also educating time trying to teach so lessons are retained as to which way to set clocks; back or forward. Also showing said wifey how to move the hands on some clocks... Such a morning.

It worked out well. I sharpeneed the saw chain and we headed out for a truck load of oak which turned out to be sassafras. We split the load. He has a few saws from a relative that need some looking at. I offered to go through them and try to get them running.

Hopefully he will join FHC before long.

I was confused this morning too, walked around the house to reset clocks, but they all read correct time- huh? Realized the new clocks we have on the wall (with hands) are both atomic, they did it themselves, and of course my phone, computer, and tv did too. We gave up on the oven and microwave and coffee pot a couple years ago, power goes out atleast a few times a week here, not for long, just long enough to make them blink.

Well I took a break from work in the barn to go away with wife and kids for a shopping trip. Almost time to leave and get back home. Son needed some jeans and daughter some shoes. At doctor's office the other day they said our son grew 3" in the last 7 months.o_O I knew he had grown a bunch. Caught right up to his twin sister. We bought him a couple pair of jeans in the month of April and they don't fit him anymore. Luckily he likes his running pants and khakis so those have gotten him by until now. (They were bought at a later time.)

So anywho, I knew I could get lunch out of the trip. And Panera Bread was delicious. Then it was shopping time.........So I got tired of shopping real quick and told them I was heading for the car. Put one arm around wife and the other around daughter and said quietly, "I'll meet you guys in the car. I need to go outside and get rid of a little gas.":emb: It is the truth and they never give me a problem about leaving them at that time.

Yeah, I know that. I was up north in Tomahawk working outside all day. A friend of mine that is hunting for the time in a couple of years ride up with me to get some pre deer hunting/ winter prep done. We had a good 4" of wet heavy after we got up north Friday night, then it was to rain and be generally cold and wet. We stacked and hauled about a cord of pine, then pulled the dock out using the ATV. We hauled and placed a few rocks to fill in the creek crossing at the start of my hunting land. We also moved my tree stand to a slightly different location, cleared a few small trees/ branches, and set up my buddy's ground blind.

I was going to replace a sensor on the lp boiler, but I grabbed the wrong padded envelope and didn't bring the sensor. Doh! Oh well, we'll do that during deer hunting. Also, I checked out what I'd need to hook up the in floor pex loop in the new addition. Then there will be in floor heat in the basement of the addition.

Here's the dock all TCO for the winter. IMG_20171104_113117804.jpg
We won the award for last dock off of the lake for the season. ;)
