DUDE! You took a picture of my soon to be patio door wall!
Front porch light wiring was buried in insulation just wire nutted, scabbed together studs, gaps between pieces of Celotex sheathing letting in who knows how many waves of cold air, gaps where the sheathing wasn't nailed down...............
I think I may FINALLY have gotten all the leaks in this wall filled. My wife was concerned I might make the house TOO tightly sealed, but that won't EVER happen.

I guess it is afternoon now. I got a late start this morning. I had the screw taken out of my foot yesterday and things went well. Before bed I took a Tramadol and one in the middle of the night. I think I had a reaction to the Tramadol as this morning was awful. Foot feels fine, I feel terrible. Gravel, lunch and then back to bed for me.

Sure hope you get to feeling better Woodwidow

I couldn't take the tramadol either. Doctor told me it sometimes is given as a booster to the harder pain meds so I did try it but not for long.

This is the partial truckload of Hickory I grabbed over Labor day weekend and split up with 99's help a couple weekends ago.

Some nice maple rounds I hauled home to keep warm with!

Hauled up another half load of wood for the kicker stove today. Moved some firewood closer to the cottage back door (for snowfall) hauled some wood into the garage (for workshop) got the water disconnected but did not winterize the cottage....yet. Still able to use the sinks and toilet drains.

99 says, thats enough wood for the basement! Wait...what? I haven't even hauled any into the basement yet!

OWB is scheduled to be lit on Sunday. Probably. Thats it.

Some days are better the others..
Some days dont seem like they could get any worse.
I know they can get worse..

    Tonight, it really hit me.
What am i doing? Why does this happen?
Are we making the right decision?
Am i making the right decision?
How much more can i take, before i can no longer take it.
Who do i turn to when i cant take it any longer..
What do i do, where do i go, where will i be... Who do i call?

i feel like im bailing water on a boat and another hole just appeared.

Us human animals have the instinct to avoid pain. If you have real pain in your life, you'll change your life to avoid the pain. That will be a good decision for you. Trust in yourself.

Mornin' Hoarders. Looks like a cloudy, cool damp morning sitting @ 40 degrees. :coffee:.....Caffein intake underway. Sounds like a wet weekend on tap and the temps look like were are finally @ the start of wood burning season in earnest. The Boss and I are headed into town this a.m. for our usual Friday breakfast out :flipeggs:, shopping and errands extravaganza. Then back home to do some outside chores before the rain. Everyone stay safe and have a great day........P.S. wonder if Dennis & Judy had a big celebration yesterday???????

Got a few work things to get put to bed this AM then taking the afternoon off. I have a lot of vacation time to burn and not a lot of time left in the year to burn it. It's use it or lose it and I ain't about to lose it.

Going to try to knock out some odds and ends projects this afternoon.

Feeling a whole lot better this morning. Pretty well slept all day yesterday. Still going to take it easy today but I should be able to eat. We are in for a week of gorgeous weather so campinspecter is getting ready to start firewood gathering again next week. I should be able to get a lot of knitting done during the World series. Definitely a wild game Wed. night.
