Lightly raining this morning. Do I want to go for a walk? Probably, as it is good for me and I am addicted to it. I will have to see if the dogs want to wear raincoats this morning. Cricket isn't too keen on wearing coats.

Ugh. Just getting up. Could be tough to enjoy this weekend. Hard to sleep last night. Feel a little better, but not much. Time for a hot shower and then some breakfast. It's just starting to rain some here.

Just give Cricket a quick rub with dome dawn dish soap and walk in the rain until the suds disappear. Then it'll be time for a towel.

    You're Welcome. :salute:

my last work trip I ended up throwing in the towel and getting a hotel room 90 minutes from home after hitting some standstill construction traffic that set me back, and I was already 18 hours into my day. Just not worth pushing it too far sometimes.

We will see how I feel tomorrow morning. Speaking of pushing it too far. :picard:I have been training off and on for the last six months to run a half marathon. Tomorrow is the day. And I'm sick. I've been registered for it for months, nice big hotel room is booked to accommodate the five of us. Kids love the Hotel and doing this whole weekend get-a-way thing is a lot of fun for all of us each year.

This year I haven't planned on running the whole thing straight through. I haven't devoted enough time to training to do that. So I've been doing a lot of a combination of running and walking training. Working my way up to 12 miles once so far and many, many times between 6-10 miles.

I'm going to make it happen. It may take me a lot longer than it should, but I'm going to do it. If worse comes to worse, I can still give the wife and kids a good time this weekend and if I feel too bad I'll just skip the race. But that would be a real bummer.:(

As they have no under down coat, they are really wash and wear dogs. Wipe them down with a wet wash cloth and then towel them off. It is their underbellies that get so dirty.

Yup, enjoy the room but skip the race. No need to run yourself ragged. If it is anything like what I had last weekend, you won't even want the room.

    Feel better!

Stayed at the HI Express in Elmira NY last night. Not a place I'd recommend. The CO detector in the basement was chirping til 11:30pm. Maintenance supposedly fixed it, it started again at 4:30am.

Manager was pretty indifferent. I don't stay at IHG often since I prefer Marriott for their rewards. Marriott handles issues like this in a much more professional manner.

I'm home, getting for the annual hayride put on by our library tonight. I supply the tractor, wagon and hay. They supply cider and doughnuts. Kids love it. It's a pretty fun time.

Almost to our destination. Feeling crappy. I think I may have been hallucinating on the way up. Seen a red tractor with a medium size black dog driving it through the woods! o_OSome guy chasing after it! :picard:
