    Update, Brother and his wife survived the hurricane OK. He says he has his lights, others not so lucky. He lost some trim off the house. He'll do a better assessment when he is able to get out and around a bit better. For now, he has to stay put.

    My brother that lives in St Petersburg Florida, his wife and dog are all ok. It sounds like their house it's mostly unscathed as well. They went up to Georgia to escape the hurricane after they prepped the house.

    We probably get more rain than Seattle. In the summer we will get one or two really high wind storms but they mostly show up during the winter. Our house is more sheltered than most but out on the water it can get quite white with the wind rolling the water. Looks really wild when the current is against the wind.

    Our company got to see whales today. It is kind of funny as they just got back from a kayak trip out to where the whales usually are. On a whale watching boat you get a better view than from the water level of a kayak.

    Married the women that i love, have got 3 happy dogs, 2 cats that are happy but i could care less.
    We both have nice vehicles, we both have full time jobs plus some, im busier then hell and dont have a life.
    Love my job, neighbors to the east are still douche bags and we are getting a new roof and new flooring for the house.

    Up early this morning as it should be a nice day weather wise. With the couple of days of rain, it is wet enough out there to cut firewood, so campinspecter is headed out to get a load this morning. The supervisors went with him.

    Yes, when the moisture content of the woods gets really low, the logging companies shut down as the fire hazard is too high. We had a couple days of good rain so the hazard was lower. It won't take much in the way of good weather though, to dry everything out again.
