It's really interesting in that Ford has been able to keep the auto journalists guessing on this. Well it have solid front and rear axles?

IDK, but I hope it looks like this.

Had a zombie come back from a freshly dug grave today.
A project I submitted on a few months back was supposed to be a few mil. over budget. So..... back to the drawing board.
And today I got a phone call..
Seems it's a "go", and I have a meeting on the 19th to see how things stand. It's not a sure thing but it's promising, for our scope anyway.
I want this one 'cause it's a 24 month project, but we couldn't start it until after the first of the year. Have to see if their schedule is flexible enough.
Feast or famine, and we're not hungry right now.

That looks like a newer Toyota FJ. I'm an FJ snob, I hate the new ones. I had a '77 FJ-40 for years, sold it at the same time as my '74 Bronco. Medical bills.

If the new Bronco has solid axles frt. & rr. , I'll take a serious look at them.

Our neighbors have a beautiful red old fj40.

If the new Bronco has solid front and rear axles, it's only real competition is the Jeep Wrangler. It will sell very well then, because Jeep has been uncontested in that segment.

I liked that, but know it won't be, as that's based on the f150, and 2 door. It's going to be based off of the mid sized Everest frame, and 4 doors. That's about all we know.
    Here's what we know;
    Mid sized
    On Everest frame
    Rear solid axle
No v8, but if it gets the 2.7 ecoboost v6 there's no need for a v8

    That's all we know.

This one I want to believe, but have my doubts:
One insider at Dana said it will absolutely have a front solid axle, and rear solid axles.

The only place a SFA is better that IFS is off road, articulation for serious off-road use. On road, where these will likely spend the majority of miles, IFS is vastly superior to sfa.

Twin traction beam. Ford's front suspension on all full size Broncos, along with many f150s.

    "Totally tubular, bro!"

Correct me if I'm wrong- twin traction beam front suspension. Probably looked good on the drawing board, but real world conditions weighed it, measured it, and found it wanting.
