We need some rain. I just checked and we've had less than .1" in the past 3 weeks. The garden is starting to suffer.
Good morning, FHC. We are back from our mini vacation. I will post some pics later today when I have time. I have to catch up on the FHC chatter and posts. Jack Straw I hope your recovery goes great and you don't over do it like some of the members here did. Work for me starts Monday. Six weeks have gone by fast and most of the projects I planned didn't happen but it has been a great holiday.
we had some great weather the past few days, but thats over now. We had some torrential rain some through this morning, and now the humidity is up over 90% Oh well.
I hope your gang has a great time Thor! That's a great set up.... They probably wouldn't understand it if someone from FHC told you that you $uck....? Live it up, bud- you've been through a bit of the ringer recently
Among my other training I drove a class A OTR truck for years and looked hard at owner but what I found was unless your an actual truck owner and not a lease then you don't make $$$. It's always been better for me to be employed hourly or millage and invest and have the company's paid benifits. There something to be said for a regular paycheck. I do have a few small side ventures that are lucrative but I will never try to go full time again been there done that it's a big headache and not for me.... I hope things work out for ya!
Most rain had gone around my place over the last 3 weeks and I've been watering plants I put in this season. Yesterda it had rained all day at work but I only had a 1/4" in the rain guage when I got home at 5:15. By 7:38 it registered around 3" and by 8:14 about 4". This morning, here is the grand total.
Last night there were a couple tornados east of us, more towards the Grizzly Adam homestead, but not a drop of rain here. Started laying out a paver walkway to get to the backyard woodshed, but first ran for a haircut to look beautiful...or at least not frightening for a presentation at the museum later today. Jack Straw how does the day find you?
I got my chimney cleaned yesterday $155.00) , and cleaned up the area around the stove. The chimney cleaners gave me a good report- lots of ash, but no creosote. I use the anti-creosote granules from Tractor Supply for almost every fire, I guess they work!
Safe and sound up here, we had a storm blow up just after schlot texted me but 10 minutes later it vanished like a fart in the wind.
