What???? Deliciousness....of course the arteries start to immediately close up do to the amount of fat and sugar, but it's worth it.

Sitting on an American Airlines MD80, taking off for a working weekend in Florida.

I bet the coconuts will burn great!

They opened probably 5 in our area 6 or 7 years ago and they all are empty now. I really liked there coffee but the donuts where pretty gross. The funny thing is Speedway Gas and some of there sister gas stations Marathon and Rich have Krispy creme donut cases so they must still be around!

I miss the Dunkin donuts from Dewitt MI they used to put the left over donuts on the back step at the end of the day for whoever wanted them. I am not ashamed to admit I used to take a bag or two:rofl:  or 5:whistle:

Landed at Dallas....2 degrees cooler here than Iowa. Doh!

Same here...was a big expansion of KK, cases at local gas stations, but now we have to drive 2 hours for them.

What a spring/summer so far. It started in March when 4-H Shooting Sports kicked off. My wife and I are both instructors, she is archery and I am rifle.

I'm a Deacon and we had a major roof/steeple project at our church. I was a regular season Junior league Little League coach and moved on to coach the All Star team. All this in addition to travel for my "day" job.

I am soooo looking forward to tomorrow! We had our 4-Hers judge for fair last week so we don't have a meeting this weekend. My All Star team played well, but got beat last week due to weather delaying us until dark. We had played 5-1/2 innings so it was a regulation game when the other team was up by two runs. I almost hate to admit it, but I'm actually kind of relieved we didn't go to state.

My wife is director of our Church's VBS program and tonight is our last night. I've been helping her in coming up with science demonstrations for our segment.

Tomorrow is the first weekend in months we have zero commitments. It's our anniversary and we'll likely hit a movie (Dunkirk) and a nice dinner.

Nothing major on the schedule next week other than having my buddy give a few airplane rides to some of my All Star players.

Whew...We still have 4-H commitments but there looks to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Woke up to rain this morning. Of course it is raining. We are going to pack the r-pod for next week's trip. Going to a wedding of a great niece. Anyway, lots to do today so hopefully I won't get distracted by FHC too much.

Will do. My wife has been hooked in WWII stuff since we attended the D-Day reenactment last year. She was very close to her grandfather but never truly appreciated what he went through over seas. We are looking forward to seeing this one.

I think I finally got caught up around here. Last week was a monster between getting stuff done last minute with 4H, cleaning up the basement from the flooding, trying to get a fall vacation booked, work being a PITA on a whole nother level, and I don't even know what else. I haven't been to bed before midnight in I don't remember how long. I just need to get the yard and garden back under control and I'll feel a whole lot better....should be able to do most of that tomorrow AM before it gets too hot.

My road trip for next week got cancelled (woot) and the G-parents are watching the kids for a night so the wife and I are taking off for somewhere for the night. First time in three years (or more) where we've been kid-free.

Almost got the garden squared up these last two morning. The only thing I need to do is to till it. But that will have to wait til this evening. Plus I reworked my suction line for the garden watering tanks. But for now I'm sticking myself inside till some of this heat goes away...

Another stinking hot day and not much done.
After I ran the brush cutter through the area, Cleaned up left over construction material that has been laying around for a year.
Snakes, snakes and more snakes. When we lifted up a 1/2 sheet of plywood there were 7 garter snakes and 1 other snake under it. One of the garter snakes was the biggest I have ever seen. The other one was large and I believe it was a rat snake. It was blackish with a faint pattern.

Internet picture not mine. Wish I would have thought to have the grandson take a picture with his phone.
Since the lazy cats aren't doing their jobs, I sort of like them around. Left them all slither away and delayed the mowing of the area for another day.
Did very little brush cutting in another area. Darn, wish this hot streak would break.
