We've tried relocating them but they.ALWAYS come back. Relocating them to a darker place (underground) hasn't resulted in a single revisit.

Up early again today. We are making an unexpected trip down island so no FHC surfing today. :( Overcast this morning up here so I hope it isn't too hot down island. You would think we lived on a separate island with the temp differences sometimes. Nice thing about holiday time is you can make changes in the plans for the day without a lot of pre-planning.

. I've learned the hard way... Have A Heart traps are weak.... I had one tear the whole back completely out... ended up baling wiring every few squares completely around the whole thing...

Understood.... sometimes I take them for ride out by work... 20 miles away....

    With the best results....:rootintootin:

Not good. Take them miles away and they will show back up where they came from. Not many people understand this and keep trapping the same critters over and over. There is really only one way to get rid of them...

No rain in the forecast for today. Got 5". In a hour and a half. I've never seen anything like it before.

Flooded the basement. Roads washed out everywhere.

I had minor basement flooding a couple years ago and beefed everything up. Not sure what to do about this other than clean up and think on it some.

    This was unbelievable rain.

I can't be the first to post this morning on this thread!!! Rain overnight and we had a bit of rain on our trip. Trip went well - 13 hrs to Nanaimo and back.

Going to try and get back into walking this morning. Kind of let that habit slip the last month. If I can do it for three days in a row, it gets easier to get up and go in the mornings.

Wow!!! Now I know where the rain went.

This is what our forecast looked like yesterday:
    Forecast.jpg

Notice all the heavy rain forecast? It does not appear we will get any more rain or if any today, it will be very little. But our sum total for yesterday, last night and early this morning has been a whopping .2". Now they certainly are wrong on the forecast from time to time but this is beyond ridiculous. 2 tenths of an inch of rain in this length of time is hardly heavy rain...

I will say that overall most of the time that NOAA can do a good job of forecasting but some weather patterns seem to be more difficult to peg. Someone though needs to update their computer models when they are off by this much.
