The actual ferry ride is about 15 min then? Or maybe a little more?

It's been a few years since we've been on a ferry around here.....well, one that we could take the vehicles anyway.

It is a nice ride with lots to see at this time of year. Lots of yachts, sailboats, freight boats, water taxis and fishing boats going places. Even the occasional cruise ship but we will be too early to see one of those today. Sunday, the Disney Wonder went by.

Dave, did you ever cross the straits on one of the ferry boats? I remember it but I was a little boy at the time.

Yes, the view from the kitchen window is rather distracting at times.
campinspecter has towels drying on the line and I can count boats coming and going and anchoring out there. Very calm day today and slowly becoming more overcast.

We have been growing fruit trees and blueberries in the backyard for a few years. We are finally getting some fruit. Here's some sour cherries I picked. Maybe my wife will make me a small pie!

There's a few big pockets of polish immigrant communities in Wisconsin. Stevens point where I went to college, and the south side of Milwaukee where I used to work are two big areas of polish community. Over all the years of these being brought in for work, fat Tuesday, etc, they all needed sugar. Like a real donut.

Maybe adding some Rutabaga would help?

These are the Paczki's we get around here at Easter. Lots of sugar. These have real whipped cream and fruit fillings. One is almost a meal in itself.

With the anvil on the floor, measure from the top of it to the underside of your knuckles with a clenched fist. Your hand should be at your side like striking a hammer. This would be a pretty comfortable height. Hopefully you are not a knuckle dragger type of guy. If so, leave it on the floor.

Pics would be nice to see what ya got there.
