    After sleeping in from a late night, today is gorgeous. Already 58 degrees and sunny. Light winds too. The last couple of days were cold , windy, and rainy.

    Made a mistake. Luckily in my favor! The load I just got that I thought was maple, on closer examination is white oak!!! Score!

    Cut split and stacked about a half cord today. My 2018-2019 stash is forming nicely!

    Got my lawn mowed with my new to me ariens GT.

    First, I mounted the deck. We couldn't find the drive on ramps that came with the tractor. I'll have my buddy Fab up a pair, but that will be when we find the originals:doh:

    I used some slightly odd shaped splits. That worked gooder enough.

    Next the rear hydraulics for the deck need to be mounted. One on each side. The far side pin and mount is in, the near side needs to be raised up and attached. IMG_20170521_113540675_HDR.jpg

    Then the PTO driveshaft install. It's pretty simple. The deck needs to be lowered if you put the driveshaft on last though. If the raised deck position, there's just not quite enough room. Then install the retaining pin.

    The tractor worked well until the fuel filter got clogged, and then some of that crap made its way into the carb. Doh!
    I got the lawn mowed though. It will just run a lot better and have even more power once I clean the carb out.
