Expensive pinking shears are not meant for shearing llamas or cutting sod rolls:doh:

Severe storms are supposed to show up until later today. A line of storms came thru around 1230-1245 with high winds and lots of rain and lightning. We lost power for about 3 hours. Dragged the generator out and burned up a bit of gas. I have a transfer switch wired into the essential circuits, like the frig, freezers and well pump.
I am having way too much fun:mad:

The winds are really rocking the trees today and tomorrow the wind gust could be stronger (50 mph) so I won't be doing much outside.

Our high temp today was 85.

Wind advisory locally. Got done mowing early and hit the beer fridge. What to do now? Trim up my maple in the back yard just to annoy the neighborhood lmao.

Didn't cut much. Just the autumn blaze maple on the right. You can see the cut offs on top of the recently cut wood.

Trash pick up skipped us today, they only come out here every 2 weeks. Dumpster is full and porch has stinky bags on it :hair:. I did not know, apparently there is a clause in fine print in the service contract for no yard waste--WWW put some bushes in it when we rented the bobcat awhile back. UMMMM. OK, "so how do I get my trash picked up?" she said "remove the yard waste and we will pick up in 2 weeks". Well, cold front and snowstorm on the way so temps should quiet the smell, but when we can get out and about and the dump is open (40mi round trip) it will be icky again.

Miffed, should have had a phone call or some kind of heads up.:picard:

Welcome to the year of the snowflake. All green waste is no longer allowed in the same hole they bury your diapers in. :(

    Stupid windy here.

Got the baseboard heater mounted and plumbed. Where has PEX been all my life?

Need to rewire a switch box and remove a window and I'm ready for drywall.

Put up three more sheets of OSB in the garage ceiling and prepped/cut the fourth one. Framed out the skuttle access into the attic space...those lights I wired up in the attic really are nice!

I also hope to paint it all white for better light reflection once the walls are up. I did that in the workshop last fall and was very happy with the results.....using just flat white for the primer and then a white semi-gloss for top coat.

I'd take some pics, but I'm ashamed of the clutter in the garage now!!!

    Ok. No issues.

It's hard with them being 3.5 hrs away. I can't get there if they need me on a whim.

I've got a feeling that they'll be mowed apart of the rain doesn't obliterate them.

Gotta be kidding me. If any garbage organization refused to pick up mixed garbage like that well then we really do have a problem don't we?
