I probably did about 9000 squats planting the garden over the past 2 days. My legs are jello. Gonna put some bourbon on them.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there!

I learned a lesson today-... don't attempt to re-fill the hummingbird feeder at dusk. Seriously.

After making a new batch of sugar water for them, I made the mistake of grabbing the "not-quite-empty" feeder. 6 steps, they were in my face. Really in my face. Like hovering in front of my face, ready to stab my eyeballs out if I took another step. I gave. (arm extended, shrugged shoulders, hung my head- held the feeder for them.).....and I stood there.
It was actually pretty cool, they were all over the place. A couple would hover right in front of my face, (glad I wear glasses), decide I was OK, then feed.
Now my shoulder is cramping, dam little free-loaders. .....why I 'oughta....... nyuck, nyuck. :p

Happy belated birthday milleo ! And happy mother's day every mothah!!!

So I had a good outcome to a pretty nice weekend.

We went up north on Sat AM, it was my mom's birthday, and then mother's day on Sunday. I have her a nice Mandeville plant that had lots of pink blooms. She'll love it.

I brought the trailer up north to get the ariens garden tractor my dad wanted to give me. I couldn't get it running, despite fresh gas, and it had spark. We pushed it on to the trailer and strapped it down. IMG_20170514_113225368.jpg

We detached the snowblower attachment, as it wouldn't fit in the trailer with the tractor and the mower deck.
    IMG_20170514_113208613_HDR.jpg

Heck, the mower deck barely fit in the 4x8 with the weight box on the tractor.

I texted my buddy, and told him I'd be swinging by with the tractor. He said go ahead.

An hour or so after we got to my buddy's house, we had adjusted the points that my dad had paid a guy up north install new and supposedly adjust. He told my dad it ran great. Well it didn't. The gap was way too tight, and while it had spark in both cylinders, it wouldn't even pop once on starting fluid, even in the heads. We adjusted the gap in plugs and the points to correct specs, and it started nearly immediately.:dex:

We changed the oil, as there was a lot of gas in the oil, and it was simply due. We also adjusted the throttle as it was idling too high. We looked at the twin belts from the front/Center PTO, and they were compromised, yet still in tact. I took them off and I'll get new Kevlar ones before we put the mower deck on.

Thursday I'll head over to my buddy's, and we'll lube up all the zerks on the tractor and deck ( there's got to be 37 of them), sharpen the blades, and replace the PTO belts, degrease and clean the tractor, and mount the deck.
This thing's a real tractor, not a disposable lawn mower that looks like a tractor.

The paint's a lot better than I expected, and it should clean up pretty well.

I'll have to remount the 75 lb wheel weights and deck once I get it home as the deck is wider than 4', and the weights are wider than the trailer too once mounted on the wheels.

I'm stoked we got it running perfectly for 2 quarts of 30 weight oil.

I also replaced a leaky LP tank line on the camper, grilled out on Saturday night with my parents, pressure tested the in floor heat lines my dad had put in the new concrete for the new addition onto the cabin up north, cut off the intake and exhaust pcv pipes for the lp boiler, opened up the camper, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

I also brought the ATV over to my place and buried the lawn aerator. I used it a little until I ran out of gas in the quad. I'll fill that up, so I can finish the lawn aeration job, and return the aerator on Thursday.

    Yes it was.

3.5 hr drive each way too.

Made a campfire on Saturday night at the camper, and I also got the dock in the lake for the parents, and well, for me too;). There's probably something else I forgot, but putting the dock in was a big one.

Yes, I was in Mexico the week before last work week. May 1st- 7th.

    I'm still relaxed from that.
    That was a nice vacation.
