Today was catching up on sleep for me. After I got up and had a bite to eat, I did some house chores while watching the kids so the wife could go have some fun. She snapped a picture while out on the horse.

The grass is starting to come up. And the horses love it!

I went and got a load of thankfully solid and pretty dry soft Maple today. Nice to be able to move the big rounds without killing myself!

About 2 more loads of it left, should be right around 1.5 cords, perfect for next year's shoulder seasons.

I'm hanging out on the patio with the dumb dog now, watching the twigs and bark burn down across the yard while enjoying a few beers..

Sun was out full blast today. Finally able to get the quad out back to haul down a few trailers full of 4 ft lengths to my "buck and split station", was also able to pull down the hang up (missed my target by a bit :emb::doh: ) with the assistance of the winch.
Turns out (thanks MikeInMa for the id) that it's 20170418_114627.jpg 20170418_193527.jpg 20170418_193607.jpg a black birch.

I just started to get better from allergies and a nasty head and chest congestion. Last week Tuesday I could barely see because my eyes were so bothered.

And no, I haven't been working with insulation. ;)

Ever feel like you're being watched...
Came across these moose tracks on my travels out back today (glove placed for scale). I think they're too shy of the dog to come down to the house. 20170418_155344.jpg 20170418_155252.jpg 20170418_155312.jpg 20170418_154912.jpg
Not my dog's hair in the 2nd image...

Pollen can travel hundreds of miles. Allergies and pollen were all over tonight's news in Milwaukee.

You can be allergic to other things that aren't growing. Dust and dust mites, Pet dander, foods, etc.

I'm not saying that is all that is causing your troubles. It could be, or it could be making your cold condition worse.
