Canadian border VT had the short end of the stick vs what I did.

So. I cleaned the squirrel cage, and got a lot of dust and dog hair out of it. I attempted to lube the bearings as the videos showed, but this fan unit is not able to be taken apart without possibly bending and ruining it. It's got sealed ball bearings, there isn't much to do beyond cleaning. So I settled for the cleaning and while it was quiet outside of the inserts housing, it got a little louder once screwed down in the insert. It was quiet for a short time. But then it got loud again.

I took a picture of it, so I have the model number of the fan. Now I can easily find a replacement on Amazon or other places.

Two cups of coffee, scrambled eggs, Irish back bacon and hash browns. I'm feeling content.

However, I'd rather be working on this.

These cold, rainy days sure make it hard to get motivated. I've gotta be nice to my wife, she's gonna cut my hair later.

Feeling much better today. We went out for a walk this morning. A little windy and cold but no rain! We went for a drive yesterday and looked at a couple of our campsites we used to go to. Dogs got to play in the snow and we got sleet snow on us. campinspecter is looking at washing the truck today and putting down wood in the basement.

Thanks. Feeling even better having just watched the taped recording of Canada's amazing women's team that for the first time in World Women's curling went the entire event without a loss. Awesome team.

Last time I watched they were 11-0...something tells me they might have curled once or twice before. :)

Got to church a bit late today but I made it. Someone new sat behind me and she could really sing. Made me try even harder...which was probably not a great thing for everyone else. Boy I hope the man upstairs is tone deaf! :)

Took the dogs out to the wood lot. They helped buck a pile of logs that was placed in spot I wanted to put my pallet down.

I used my new cross cut saw on them...and when I say "cross cut saw" I mean my Stihl.:)

Took a drive out to the my honey spot for old landscape timbers (golf course in the neighboring town) and set up the base for the pallet.

On a bit of a slope so I used an 6" diameter elm log and part of one of the landscape timbers to level it up.

Don't think it would pass foundation inspection for anything but a pallet but it should work. :)

Sealed ball bearings can still be lubricated, in fact in one application I had to add additional lubricant in new sealed bearings. Can you post a picture of the fan ?

I spent the weekend rebuilding the buck pen. For a shelter I just had an old overturned flair box. Now they have a nice 8X8 lean-to, should be easier to lock them in and catch them if we have to work them. Also hung a couple new heavy Powder River gates, they shouldn't tear them up as easy. Now I'm having a quick Pepsi break, then shower and off to the Cub Scout pasta benefit. Wife's been cooking for the last two days, that's why I've been working outside in the rain.

I bought a rotisserie chicken for supper tonight, but when suppertime came near, I just didn't feel like chicken. I had chicken 4 times this past week for supper. So tonight I made French toast. I used diet bread, but I also used real maple syrup. I make the mix really on the thick side. Came out delicious. Every once in a while, having breakfast food for supper seems just right.
