    Yeah, wind.
    Drove to Neb. on Friday to visit the folks, 6 hrs.
    Came back yesterday and took a stiff beating from the wind, 8 hrs.
    Had a large grass fire off of I-76, 30K acres in less than 12 hrs. Still smoking when I went by it (had to divert a few miles on a frontage rd., and that was the point of origin.)

    Which one? Had a little snow last night but nothing major. Roads are all good right now, too soon for construction to start up.
    Now spring break traffic on the other hand............ :headbang:

    Tomorrow after coffee I'll put the bucket on the tractor so we can put four bags of pellets in, I'm hoping these last 8 plus bags we have will be the last we burn this heating season.

    All day too. Luckily we never lost power in my neck of the state. We had near hurricane gusts today. Seriously. 72 mph sustained the 45 mph winds were the calm parts of the day.

    No wood stuff today. :) Just dinner with my wife, then off to the bar to meet a college buddy of mine and have a couple pints.

    I had a great day. My parents gave me another pair of slippers bobdog2o02 and a pair of Browning socks.

    Plus I bought my Makita 6421 saw today.

    It's going to be a busy few days for me. Lots on the docket, but it's going to be well worth it.

    Looks like Gasifier must be sleeping in. That's OK, we'll let him, he's been busy. He earned a lot of sleep ins with that barn project anyway! Or maybe he decided to head out for the GTG early and is now on the road??? :D

    Looks like the high temp was about the time I got up this morning (42*) Doing nothing but going downhill from there for the next couple of days. Wind really gusted about 3 am - gust so hard that it woke me up as I was snoozing on the couch, with the P43 running 5-6 feet directly behind my head (all was good, I went to bed until my alarm went off at 3:30 :sleeping:). Didn't last long but I'll have to see if there are any willow branches that got blown off the huge tree when I get home.

    The boiler is acting up this morning and the house was at 64 degrees. I think the thermocouple is going. I made a nice fire and got the place warmed up in short time. I'll replace the thermocouple today and get everything squared out. I usually have a spare hanging up near the boiler, but I may have already used it. Times like this is when I am happy to have the stove and seasoned wood ready to go. Forecasted highs winds and dropping temps later today.
