Found some errors after the first rendering, fixed them and now waiting again. Then I have to combine all the chapters into one file and I can post it.

What a week. Took the kitchen all the way down the the studs...rewired...reinsulated...new window...new drywall...new ductwork...new appliances...refinished the cabinets...built a few new ones. Granite guy templates tomorrow. Almost liveable again.

A lot left to do but it should be nice...I'm whipped and having a celebratory bourbon.

I stepped in cat yak twice this morning getting up. This better not be an indicator of how my day will go. It is cat shedding season around here.

A very good video Grizz! A lot of nice things in there that belong in there.
Your group of medical 'victims' were right on the money too.
    Thanks!

Made pancakes and bacon for the kids this morning and eggs and bacon for the wife and I. Just finished cleaning everything up after they went to school. Time to go down to camp and clean the pellet stove and fire that back up and then get to work in the woods. I am also going to call to see if I can find a rental place that will rent me a splitter for a couple of days sometime soon. Maybe this weekend.

Yes, little outdoor cooking stoves. Nothing serious. I will post pictures next time.

Glad you liked it, I haven't got much feedback on it yet. It was fun to make, a real pain to edit until I got the hang of the new software.

Nope. I borrowed my neighbors for years. Great people! But a few years back Aubochon Hardware opened here and rented an Iron & Oak for $60 for the day. So I rented that once or twice a year. I can split a lot of wood in a day. But now they closed up, too much competition. And I don't want to ask to borrow the splitter. Don't like to do that anymore. One of these years I will break down and buy one.

I hate borrowing stuff also. My FIL offered his but his maintenance plan is when it breaks just rig it to get it working. Would rather split by hand until I finish mine

Took the boys to the scrap yard. They made a little money and I got rid of some junk. Win win situation:thumbs:

Scrap yard runs with Dad will be remembered their entire lives. There's no end to the cool "stuff" to look at… eyes wide open…

I'm very blessed that my daughter & hubby have given us 2 grandsons to re-live some of those times again. Been 30 years.

I know what you mean… some mighty good stuff lands there once in a while doesn't it? Now you got me wondering whether grandpa likes it better than the little one…

I wanted to clean up some of those branches and trees I dropped from clearing for the improved view from the camp. But the snow was to deep and many of the branches were stuck in the 6-7 inches of new snow we just got. So I decided that the deep snow was not going to hold me back. I set a slow, steady pace and carried my pole saw down the hill through the snow. Then carried my Werner Multi Ladder I got for my birthday or Christmas down through it too. And continued with more trimming. Higher trimming! ;) The pole saw is working great. Very careful, the snow is wet and packs. So it held the bottom of the ladder well. The high snow and extendable ladder really let me get up high. I'm not even sure how high up I trimmed but after the snow is gone I'll bet some of them are 25' up or higher. Here is a series of shots from the same spot.

What would be real nice is if I could catch it just right where I could drive the Bobcat down there when the snow is almost gone but the ground is still frozen! Then use the bucket to push all the branches into two big piles so I can burn them up some time when we get a rain. The timing would have to be just right though. And I may be working. But boy would that save me a lot of tugging on branches. I want to get them all cleaned up and burned early though. Then I can use the tractor and York rake to clean everything off, rip up all the pine needles and long grass, etc., and get things in nice shape so I can plant grass. Want to have this area all finished off and growing grass in May. It's going to be a lot of work, but will be soooo worth it.
