We put in a couple loads of wood this morning and then it was time to clean off my work bench and sharpen a bunch of chains (18) and the run over to the Wood Chop Shop. When I came back it was time that I clean a few saws.

I'm set to get those two Birch near the hill in the back depending on the weather.

I came very close to buying a used L48. And even closer to buying a used L45. Very nice work horses.
But I have decided I want to buy new this time and keep it long term. This way I have a warranty, local service, and etc.
So I priced Green :faint:, Blue, Orange, and Red. Test drove Blue and Red. I have already had two Orange and know there machines/capabilities. Orange are very reliable, good machines. I have driven Green before. They are nice. Nice, and very pricey.

You can not find an Agricultural tractor that has the larger lift capacity, stronger built frame, and strong backhoe (important to me), of a smaller TLB series construction grade. So you end up having to go with a larger Agricultural tractor to get closer to that kind of stuff. Which means you will be spending more money on initial purchase :picard:and burning more fuel. When you start going larger the cost starts to go up quick.

They all have nice machines. But I am very close to buying a new Red one. If they can get me a strong enough backhoe for the model I have selected. Which has HST. (Side by side pedals.) I either want HST or full Power-shuttle shift. I have a lot of loader work to do with dirt, but even more woods clean-up with grapple.

It is surprising the amount of things to consider and compromises you have to make between TLB construction grade and agricultural tractors.

WWW is handy with an iron too, back in the day we took many business trips together, he'd get my newly drycleaned but now wrinkled jacket and skirt out of the suitcase and iron them along with his dress shirt an slacks. Very cool.

Stopped by to see my recently retired partner on the way home from work yesterday.
He looks good and relaxed! He has a south facing garage door in his workshop and it was a bright sunny day in the mid 30's here. He had opened the door, set up a chair to relax and sun himself in....and felll asleep!
Hope to meet him for coffee this morning if I can swing it at work....

Caught up on some sleep and apparently hurt my neck while I was sleeping? WHst the hell? This is not good. I have firewood to move inside and lots of stuff I want to move around to clean the barn up. Ugh!

Caffeine going in and two Aleve down.

This winter has been crazy up and down work and weather wise. Coming off the busiest summer Ive ever had its become a little frustrating. Ive had an insane todo list and its not getting done!
Finally received furnace grates:ups:. Supposed to be 55 on Saturday so Ill let it go out and replace. What a fiasco its been. Luckily I made a temporary and its worked well.
My main hauler has been in and out of the shop every 3 days the last 45 :hair::hair:!! Put me behind in the get'r done dept!!!
The 2 guys Ive been farming out major repairs to the last few years presented me with a business opportunity . They want to start up a used equipment dealership along side their repair business just to keep them busy through slow repair times. Ive had years of experience buying and selling equipment so I dove in head first. I bought a White 2-180 tractor and a John Deere 544 loader both mid 80's with engine problems in the last few days.
Im kinda pumped because partnering up with these guys should take some heat off my business' equipment in the repair dept.
An office project for the lil woman is coming close to an end and its due time. Shes ready to leave the manager position at the restaurant/bar shes been at 7-8 years. I'm hoping when she quits and hangs the accountant shingle out she'll have more time to handle some of my dealings.
Things are going to get crazy train more than normal.o_O:hair::yes::jaw::loco: :doh::confused:

The weight is down to 220.5 from 231.5 so hopefully by Friday before the real meal, I can get down to 218 or 219.

I'm still doing 2 30 minute workouts for a total of 3 miles per day. yooperdave , that shirt is smelling real bad so 214 can't come quick enough.

My goal is 205 so I'm thinking by the end of the third week in February I'll be there. After I hit my target weight I'll cut the workouts back to 1 30 minute jaunt on the treadmill and eat more salads.
