Stopped by the dealer today after work and got another tensioning screw kit for the one on my chain saw that came up missing. Guy said it probably broke and fell off. Just use a screwdriver to tension it. I had already done that. Then he went and dug out an old power head and took one off of there for free! Nice shop. I left a tip on the counter anyway.

I was trying to unclog the vacuum hose. I tried about everything. Then tried a plumber's snake. That was a mistake. I puncture through the hose. Then my wife told me the new faucet on the kitchen sink broke. The vac I bought in May, the faucet in May last year. I called the manufacturing companies and got a hold of customer support for each of them. They were both polite, and quickly offered to replace the parts at no cost to me. I was very surprised and pleased. Saved me a hole bunch of money.

Stopped out to the local Bomgaars store (a small fleet farm type store) and saw this "bargain" for sale.

It looked like a lot of pallet wood. Looking at a couple bundles I noticed some of it was treated wood, so I grabbed the store manager and explained even if it was used as firepit wood, the treated stuff should not be burned.

She was very nice about it and said they would take all the treated wood out of the bundles.

Bentley is on his annual "I'm gonna lose some whiskers" pilgrimage. After 5 years, you'd think he'd figure out that fire is hot.

We got our power back on. The whole north end of the island was out because a tree took the only main line feeding our area. What a day for those guys to be out fixing the line. Wind, major rain storm and an inaccessible area as well. We really didn't think we get our power back for a couple of days.
