Finally got a decent earthmoving job, building two more rail sidings at an ethanol plant. Been awhile since I've done a good bulk excavation.

You are correct sir. Good eye. :zip: That is the result of me going too quickly. :whistle:I will be fixing a few of them when I am done with them. But. I am being very good about making sure they are all on the same center line.

My nephew requested people tell funny stories about him at his funeral. There were a lot of stories. It was the way he wanted to be remembered, not the way he went out.
    He was cremated later.

Swapped the front struts on the Cobalt today, rides like new. Originals had 230K on them, not too shabby.

Thanks Gas, but he did it to himself. Alcoholic at 32. He wore himself out and it finally caught up with him. He knew what he was doing.

Did the 100,000 mile rebuild earlier this week on the 250. Pads and rotors all around, 1 new caliper, new parking brake backer plates, shoes and hardware, new rear hub seals and a tie rod end made for a busy two nights after work but saved me $$$$ IMG_2098.JPG

I'm up by my parents in the northwoods of Wisconsin. Fixed my dad's hunting shack, but a new corrugated steel roof on it. Also moved my tree stand for gun deer hunting. It's in a better place now, with much better shooting lanes. I think this spot will allow me to see the deer that wali behind my dad's shack and where I've been hunting for years. Hopefully I'll catch them by surprise opening weekend.

On my way to the grill to cook up steaks, I saw this guy.

Flying squirrel. IMG_20161105_174911105.jpg Neat little critter, that's the second one I've seen this year. yooperdave

No Bullwinkle yet, but there was a bull moose in downtown Tomahawk a couple of months ago, and there was a cow moose just spotted in the past week or so.

It was cheap, a 2 man but that just makes it better fit a bigger guy. Big dog brand iirc. I need to add a little more side to side stability on the Norway pine. The bark is much more slippery than poplar that it was in last season. I'm thinking a ratchet strap to each side.

Monin all... :coffee:... had a nice 3 hour road trip visit yesterday. Skipped over to NH and caught up with my old friend Harry and his wife. They just bought a new home in the Bennington area. Along with the house... is a nice, heated 24'x28', 2 story shop that Harry is in the process of turning into a commercial woodworking op. He's been in the yacht building biz for years. Has had pics of his work in national yacht magazines. And... :dancer:... he's putting a music studio upstairs! So glad he's getting back into playing again. Good for the mind...... and he needs that. He's going to be very busy for a while tho, just getting the shop set up. I may get back over to lend a hand. We'll see... not sure if he'll want me there slowing him down...
