We had a lot of fun last night at the trick or treat/ chili party.

I had Badger on leash while the kids went to houses, and my buddy had William on leash.

One or 2 houses had adult treats of hot buttered Rum, and hot spiked cider.

Those were perfect timing as my beer just happened to run out then. :)

The basswood burned decently enough in the fire pit. I told him if he wants better wood, he has to help me a Saturday in my wood lot. I've got a bunch of small dead elms that would easily add up to a trailer load.

We listened to the radio broadcast of the Badger vs huskers game. That was a great game, and better if you are a Badger fan.:D

Then we listened to to cubbies lose at home for the second time in a row.

    Badger as Batman

These two little guys are going to sleep for 2 days. Badger retrieved all night around the fire, and William chased Badger.

Unfinished bench project #5 is complete this morning. This weathervane from my shed was damaged last year by a falling branch. I ended up building a new one to replace it. It is a smaller version of the quill pen weathervane from a nearby school.

I have more tools for copper work so I had better results. I still need to work on soldering.

Quit laughing at the Cubbies. They are still reeling at the shock of being in the World Series.

Do we ask how many unfinished projects you have? If you're like me, I wouldn't ask.

Did you coat it to keep the copper colour or will it go green over time? I like the idea that the original was on a school.

That might be part of it. :)

What I think is crazy is the prices that people are paying for tickets to the Chicago games. 2000 for standing room only tickets? 50k for a great seat? I've even heard the bars across the street are getting up to 2k for a 4 seat table reservation to watch the game, at a bar.. and then still get charged $50 at the door to get in.

Insane, then their team loses horribly both games?

20,000 Indians fans paid to sit in an empty stadium in the cold to cheer a big flat screen performance!

I'm sure tickets were reasonable at least.

I left it unfinished to develop a patina. The one on the school broke some time last year in a windstorm.

One project at a time has become my motto. I try not to think of the 150 more still to go!!
