Searching the web to find inexpensive ways to make axe/hatchet sheaths! Plastic milk bottles wrapped in duck tape and paracord strap!

BUT.....what's really big is the weather this weekend. Scheduled to by 78/58 Sunday and Monday! I will be burning wood somewhere.

    I've been waiting since March!

Mornin' Hoarders. Caffein intake happening t/b followed by breaky. Got a few small jobs to knock out this a.m. then heading to the Big City to see "THE RED GREEN" comedy show tonight. Think we will be making a stop @ the new Cabela's store that recently opened as well. Everyone have a great and safe day..................

The rain held off today! More progress completed. Yeah!

Loft floor joist half way down through barn. image.jpeg

Flooring on for a good part of that now.
    image.jpeg

And some new, and good looking 4x6 bracing going up too! This should help tighten things up with these high walls and post.

Thanks Pete. Appreciated! It has only been my neighbor and I working the last two days. But we are plugging away at it. The rain hit us late yesterday/last night. But we were able to work today. We had a lot of clay stuck to the bottom of our boots :picard:but were still able to get a good bit done. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to work from dusk till dawn on it. Then it is back to work on Thursday. It has been an enjoyable vacation. I like carpentry work, especially framing. And this framing with rough cut Amish lumber is fun! More time consuming, having to square everything and then cut to the right length, but really enjoyable. Seeing, cutting, and feeling the strength of this full dimensional lumber is nice.

You sir have the passion! I absolutely love walking into my wood shop and smelling the hard work and seeing the beauty of it all... Amish lumber is defiantly a treat! I used an Amish mill a few years ago and discovered that its a good reason to use my hand plane and drink coffee! Really love rough cut lumber.

So this is roughly what the barn will look like, besides some changes I have made.

So there is two feet of block from the foundation showing. "Lifting the barn in this picture 24" off the ground. The roof will not have the two cupolas on it. And the roof will be a dark green metal roof instead of shingles. The walls and barn doors will be taller. Roof pitch will be the same at 6/12. Good for snow.
