Beautiful day, wish I could play hookey. Supposed to be just as nice tomorrow though, and I have that one off. Really looking forward to NDT on the cosmos tonight.

:D Nope. Those will be quartered and be gasifying in the Wood Gun one year from now, or a little more. Whenever the shoulder season is next spring!

If it still grows on you you're doing alright. I got the look around 1 last night, next thing I knew it was 4am.

Nice looking racks to pile the splits in. I still can't over how you all can get away with not putting roofs on the stacks. We just get so much more rain for longer periods of time.

    Jack,

When I saw your really nice pic I thought how much it looked like the area around some friends we know who live NY. I looked closer at your location and I couldn't believe it. They live in Altamont! They used to run a powered parachute manufacturing biz… Blue Heron. Ever see or hear of em?

Really pretty country out your way.

Never heard of them, but that pic is towards the Altamont area.

Wood, I don't get away with not top covering, hardly...I'm still in the process of stacking and when I fill the racks I individually top cover each rack with single sheets of clear plastic. The racks you see in the picture are only 4 of 10 all together. 3 of the 7 have next seasons wood already in place. And I have 8 cords of oak at another site that I will bring in this fall. I dont have enough room to leave the oak here for 3 years

Definitely would get a lot of air movement around those stacks.

Good morning. Had a good weekend at work and the temps are gonna' hit mid 50's today.
I'm hoping the ground will be solid enough to make firewood up on "windshear ridge", my latest honey hole.
No matter what the ground is doing, I'm gonna' find my way to the out of doors and fettle around doing something whether it's worthwhile or not!! LOL.
You good people have a good day. I hope this finds you well. Peace.
