What a day. We poured cement yesterday into the sono tubes. I had 5 eighty pound bags left over from a project last year. It mixed up well. Poured it. Looked ok, let it set overnight, but found that it didn't "set". I could scrap it off like it was fresh. Wasting daylight. So I went to Lowes and got more sono tubes and quick setting cement. What a h@ll of a job getting those bad ones out of the hole and setting new tubes. At least they are deep as the ledge is 2 ft. down. This new pour set up hard and fast. We are waiting until tomorrow before we put the wall up. The sill is in place now. Hate it when we have to do things over, but then better now then latter when one of them failed.

Oh, I tired now. Moved some firewood today with the kids. And a few other little things done as well.

We got cleaned up and went to a nice family get together. My sister's adult kids put a 60th birthday party together for her at a local club. And my sister from the west coast came home for a long weekend! o_O Cool! Nice spread of food for dinner and a good time. Good food and company.

    Hello comfy chair.

I have a new word. Thinkably, like past tense of possibly thinkable.

Monin... up early... :coffee:... ahhhhh... more winter prep projects today I think. Last mowing, move "stuff"... etc. Have been working on a powered lift to help with getting gear down into the cave. It'll roll into my Bilco firewood bin area, when I need it. Been taking a few "proof" pics as I go. Have a great Sunday everyone... :campfire:

Today looks like rain all day. I'm going to get a jump on canning this current batch of chicken stew this morning. While that is going, I'll make some apple jelly.

Tomorrow will be yard work day and moving wood to the porch.

Morning, we've got family up, so we'll be all over the place. Time for some coffee to try and kick this one to many feeling out of my system from last night.

Good morning folks! Wood stove fired up 37F and the kureg broke. Guess im off to my old faithful percolator for a while... Its gorgeous outside today so I do believe the log splitter will get pulled out! Of course only after I sneak attack the neighbours driveway with my gravel drag. SUPRISE!:D

Slow but sure. Gang busters tomorrow!

Finished 8 footers and then piers for inside this past week. Will be backfilling around them with fill from the holes about noon today.

This morning set up table and built jig on it for cutting studs to length. About 35 cut so far. Will hopefully get well over 100 of them cut today before I go pick up my brother who comes in around dinner on dee plane boss.
