What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Good morning. Clear blue skies and on it's way to 50 degrees!!
Loaded the truck down to the bump stops yesterday with an odd mix of cherry, poplar and hedge. It took a few cold frosties last evening to get it all in the woodshed but I got'er done.
Now it's off to enjoy this nice weather doing absolutely nuthin' today.

I always enjoy the warm Smoke ole buddy, for example it is now +22 F and rising. Plenty sunny this morning, last night it was calm and clear so the temps did their nosedive. It was around 3 F when I paused the old John Wayne western I was watching and called it a night.

Still below zero out that a way?

Yup. I try and feed 'em all I can. Been a pretty cold winter.

 

Those temps don't look like planting will do any good to me.

We are going to get a little warm spell followed by more climate weirding .

 

Ugh! One thing after another with bills, errands, tax stuff, insurance wants this........ haven't even got in the woods yet! School function now. Still have 3;30-6:00 though. I hope!

 

The weekend is almost here.

 

Picked up a new/used oven for our house after work. Soon as i got home i got a call saying my new safe was in at the lowes i just drove right past! Guess I'm headed to lowes in the am . It arrived a month early so now im scrambling to make a path through the basement to get this 700lb monster to its final resting place.

 

Got some brats cooking on ol' smokey. First grillin' of the season.

 

Just got done watching Free Birds with the kids. Pretty funny, different, and funny.

 

Did manage to get in the woods for two hours yesterday afternoon. Trimmed up and bucked up some of those trees I dropped for the section of road I am making. Getting some caffeine in me right now, then a light breakfast, to go back to work on it this morning. It was real nice yesterday afternoon to feel some warmer temperatures. And it did not get too cold last night. Today should be a good day for working in the woods.

 

FYI, it's saturday (already). Good weather on tap in the northeast, 45 deg around here. I have plans on being outdoors all day if I can.
Tonight the clocks go forward...couple be a couple of groggy folks in the morning, losing an hour of sleep

 

That's tonight?! Holy chit, I did not know that. Have not been paying attention I guess. LOL. I'm going to be a little groggy in the morning, but it won't be from losing sleep. I plan on having a couple and going to bed early!

 

Taking a caffeine and cool down break from trimming and bucking up trees. Man, sweating my butt off.

 

I'm caffinated and firing the outdoor oven for lunch.

Slow but sure progress.

 

We watched Free Birds with the kids early last night. Then wife and I watched the second Hunfer Games movie. She read all those books. Pretty good. Tonight it is one of those new space movies, can't remember the name of it dammit. Got great reviews.

 

Gravity. Ya, that's it. Couple cold ones and a movie. Might have to do popcorn with butter and salt!
