That one piece in your firewood pile at the base of the pile is well on it's way to rot now! Probably just burn that one outside, no?

Yes, count your blessings. Most are like this, and not your company.

I will. I was always taught the employees first....without them a company is nothing.

I helped a co-worker buy his first car on his own tonight. It was a used supercrew Ford f150 that was in my town. I actually considered buying it myself, but I figured I'll drive the Audi 2 more years, and I am wanting a new motorcycle now. Last week I helped him check it over, and went on a test ride with him. I noticed it had an eerily familiar rear disc brake lining wear through, so the owner replaced both rear discs and pads over the weekend. My wife and I met him out the local drive in diner, and I bought his dinner.
Tonight I offered to drive him up in my car, and he had the plan of driving the truck home after he had an independent shop test everything out on the truck. The truck passed with flying colors. They agreed on a price a few hundred under asking price, which was already fair, especially considering the new rear brakes just installed, and the overall condition of the truck.

This guy's a young engineer, living away from home, and he was pretty excited about buying his first car on his own.

He thanked me for helping him out with all of this, and took me out his treat for dinner at Buffalo wild wings.

I think I kinda felt some of what you dads felt with your growing up kids. Lol

When the trees are hauled away and I get the stumps pulled, ground finished off, and cat tails removed from this side of pond we will be seeing the pond from the back porch of the house as well!

Nice morning here today. Humidity has been low for a few days but it's coming back today they say. Coffee, a chew, trip to drop of the Cosby kids off at the pool and then heading to pick up a load of red oak.

The reno job continues here @ the cave. Heat warning issued last night, so it should get really enjoyable the next couple of days. Safe day everyone.
