Hmmm...sounds like its a good thing I took our Verizon hot spot with us for our vacation instead of left at home alone with our old Windows 7 laptop.
I will have to keep an eye on things when we get back...they have been buggin the crap outta me here lately to load 10. I thought I heard somewheres that 10 would only "ask" for so long, then go ahead and load itself :picard:

Could always have the nicest outdoor fireplace in the neighborhood, no?
Sure wouldn't be the first wood stove to be used strictly outdoors. :smoke:

Brought over some wood after work...or as papadave said, the migration is underway. :)

Looks like I need to bring a little more ash/elm over to top this rack off.

Getting excited to put this to use!

I was thinking the same thing.

Huh, now you are giving me ideas since I can't have a firepit or chimnea (town dictates 45' from structure - I don't have that clearance), but they allow "grills" without that clearance. Wonder if I could pass one off as a barbeque? :D

What the EF? I just checked and they have changed the clearance to 50'. Last year it was at the state dictated 25', then this spring they went to 45 - now to 50. I truly believe they don't want anyone to have one that doesn't live in the boonies.

And then this: "A couple of other notes… The State Division of Forests and Lands and the State Fire Marshals Office have determined that chimneas and other portable pottery or metal fireplaces constitute open burning and require a campfire permit."

I wonder if a wood stove constitutes a metal fireplace? The question is, can they claim it is "portable"? ;)

We have a humidity reading of 93 so I'm not sure what I'll do if I decide to work outside.

All this Nanny state stuff. over regulation. PC compliant. Ugh. Head for the hills and don't look back. Glad I am in a little town that hasn't much of anything in the line of controls. Most of my restrictions are governances that came with the property. All are fairly reasonable and I was aware of them at the time I bought the property. There wasn't even a road in here then.

Gave the dog a bath tonight. Let him outside to dry off and he precedes to roll in the dyed black mulch I put down yesterday.
The dye was still damp, so I had to give him another bath. He was stained black.

2ND one was with the cold hose. He wasn't happy.

Just "decommissioned" a nest of white-tail hornets who had set up shop in the base of the wall of my garage. Sent the wife out for some ammunition. She came home with a can of foaming wasp killer. Skeptical me decided to give it a try as it is supposedly something new. They were launching and landing in a crack between 2 cinder blocks. They give you one of those little red tubes that attaches to the nozzle. Instructions say shoot @ the entrance on approach then stick the tube in the hole and give them a good shot. Amazingly, the stuff expands like spray foam and fills the entire cavity................BINGO...........show is over. Sleep tight little darlings..................:salute:
