I paid $200 for the garmonts back in the early 2000's, so I know they are expensive. My only problem is that as far as I can tell they discontinued the model (at least last I checked - a year or two ago) and if I can't try them on, I ain't buying. I try on literally dozens of pairs over months, and even years, before I find shoes/boots that fit the way I like. Plus, the last two rugged boots I've bought have been men's/boy's boots. i.e. , I'm not a girl with a whole lot of shoes.

But, I'll try your suggestion and see if things have changed since my last search.

Hmm, that is my issue. I believe they are Dakota Lite GTX boots - $350 IF I could find size 6. Not many places have that style, and none that I have found have that small a size.

EDIT: They could be the Syncro II plus GTX for a bit liss $$, but even then finding them in stock AND at my size, is the issue.

The Dakota's have been discontinued as have the Syncro's (or they just don't import them any more).

Asolo boots are my go to, 520s or Fugative, 520s wear better but are heavier

It looks bad bocefus78 , hope the swelling comes down quick.

Gasifier was telling me the other day that he had that happen and that he had Mrs. Gasifier rub the swollen area.... it made him forget about any of the pain.

You can always give someone a broom and tell them to go and weep out the corners of the barn.....that'll keep 'em busy for awhile!

I upgraded the "wood hauler" (trailer), who has got a simple yet effective trailer winch mount add on? Thinking of just boxing up a reciever mount so that I can keep it portable for tractor or whatever else. Biggest problem is I am not a welder but I know a couple.

I'm hoping I get some splitting and some stacking done today, it was planned for Sunday but the phone rang just when I was getting ready to go out the door. The phone call changed the plans for the whole day yesterday.

Happy BC Day. It is a long weekend for our province. Time for family and summer fun.

I think I will be picking salal and black berries and digging in the garden. Watch a baseball game on TV. Tomatoes are on sale so I might pick up some to can. could be a busy day.

Windows 10 thankyou for attempting to download yourself on Friday night and burning through 14+GB of a 5GB wireless plan - and still not properly installing yourself:headbang:

Finally a little rain. Only thing is that it is darn little. I don't know if it will be enough to get wet under the trees. We sure could use a day of gentle rain. The ground is very thirsty.

I passed by this Jotul today on the side if the road for $100. I stopped briefly and looked at it a little more. I believe it is a Model 12, the predecessor to the F600 . It is a foot pedal operated top loader with a cat. I can't fit this in my fireplace opening. Then I get these crazy thoughts of sand blasting and re-painting it to flip it. It turns out that the right outside plate is cracked. I did not look further inside it. I am troubled by this beautiful beast of a stove sitting out and going to waste.

Good job passing this one up.
By the looks of it they overfired the heck out of that thing. Barely any black paint left. ;)
