    After my most delicious dinner last night :), I took a load of branches out to the tree dump early this am before work. I decided to take these poor lonely pieces of locust in and give them a home.

    When we walk in the morning we often see piles of wood waiting to be s/s but on our walk for the last little while is an unusual wood being piled up. Yew wood is not very common around here and here is a pic of quite a large pile. It is mixed in with something else but the pile is largely Yew.

    Yew wood (when they could find it) was used for the stem of the fishing boats built around here.

    I think my finger heard about photo bombing.

    Weekend starts now.

    I'm grilling a backyard dinner tonight...everything grown and raised on the premises. 7.8lb chicken, taters, corn on the cob, and green peppers.

    After that....I ain't doin nuthin. This will be the first night in about 3 weeks that I haven't been running around like crazy from 6AM - 12AM.

    Big day of gardening and chasing the fishes tomorrow.

    Yew has many similarities to cedar, at least from the pictures. My first guess when I first saw your pic was cedar
