I would have to paint it. Working around that color for years was all I wanted of it. I won't even watch medical shows. They screw things up so badly it makes me want to jump out of my chair and shout!
That is a darn nice chest if you have the use for it. Should last for more years than you'll want it!

Scored a $5.00 wagner 8" cast iron skillet at a antique store today. This thing is as smooth as can be inside. I am going to do a bit of seasoning on it and it should be good to go.

    Yup, that be the place.

The boss and I have been going there from time to time for some time. It is just right for a little drive and good eats. The fact that the place is frequented by a lot of us older folks doesn't hurt either.

For another line of fare it would be a trip to Naples and Bray's.

I hear before they start the meet, each swimmer has to actually cut their own slot through 2' thick ice! Rugged Maine girls…

I noticed some more ice on the side of my house, meaning ice dam problems. I had worked at it a little last week but apparently not enough. So I got the ladder out and went at the ice on the gutters/eaves. It actually was quite easy to remove today, just had to clear the snow above and wait a few minutes for the sun to do its work and get a layer of water between the ice and the roof. All that was needed after was a little bit of chipping at the leaf guard on top of the gutter and the ice came off in big blocks. Still took time as I was only doing a few feet before needing to move the ladder but I got my entire roof free except for the area by the electric service. The back gutters are now running clear down the down-spout. The front didn't get enough sun to melt free but water is coming over the top of the gutters.

This summer I need to put in some of those electric gutter/eave melters. Chipping at the roof and gutters is for the birds. If today wasn't bright and sunny I never would have been able to remove the ice dams. I saw a house down the road that with the electric heat rope, they have a nice triangular pattern on their eves and ice free gutters.
