I'm starting on the sheathing/siding project on the north wall.

Tearing off slate style siding that was over painted Cedar siding over some loosely fitting tongue and groove boards used for sheathing.

Found the batt insulation to be done poorly so I'm replacing it too. Taking the time to seal up the walls from the outside while I'm at it.



Going back over the studs with 3/4" plywood, housewrap, 1/2" polyiso and vinyl siding to match the other walls.

 

It's 69 out and boy does that feel good.

Got the sheets of plywood, housewrap wrap and polyiso up. Marked out my baseline to setup my starter strip from.



Starting to rain so I'm calling it a day.

 

3 hours of sleep. Worked like a dog all day. Just need to pick the berries and mow the acre next door and i'm done for the day.

 

Good morning, sure to be hot and humid, chance of rain this evening.
Coffee is on and it's off to the workhouse for me.

 

Will that 6 hours feel like 16?

starting my second week of holidays. We might take the r-pod (RV) out for a spin later in the week so I am going to do some clean up and packing this week. Got some sewing to do as well. Nice not having to rush around in the morning to meet a deadline.

Tried to out smart the rain today.

With rain coming in I decided to make an early morning run to Lowes to pick up some more siding. Apparently someone (me) didn't order enough last time.

Skipped church and ran down (actually I drove ) only to find out they didn't have it in stock. In fact the employee there didnt have the experience in ordering it either. Doh!!

Came back empty handed and put up as much as I could on one side of the door, over the 1/2" pink board I put up a while back.



I purposely stopped about door level as I need to set the height for a rim board for the pergola that we are going to build over the deck.



Apparently Flicka was less than impressed with the small amount of progress I made.

 

Just got home from the range and heard the news about Baton Rouge..........................O.M.G..............R.I.P. Brothers, prayers for the families and co-workers of those involved. It is going to be a LONG,HOT SUMMER.......

 

I got my mower blades sharpened today. Not a lot else got done, but I'll probably mow on Tuesday. We got a pretty good soaking of rain today. T storms this am, until about noon.
