Got rain over night, heard it coming down hard about mid night. Pretty dark out this a.m. and radar showing another wave approaching. Grass on lawn perked up already.

We are getting pounded right now. Dark as heck out. Fair amount of lightning bouncing around. For as dry as it has been, we are getting a thorough soaking now.

We either got hit with lightning at 10:33 or it was real close, we heard the sound and then the flash. We had a door and a window open which got shut real fast.

Pretty much done with the outside chores now. Split and stack another line of wood this morning, then just picked a small meal of green beans... I'm thinking a small plate of ham and green beans sounds good... May have to see if a Mator is ripe too...

I'll raise the mower deck a little higher today to keep the lawn happy. 76 today a nice breeze, and mostly sunny. All I've done this AM was eat breakfast, sleep in, and get a game plan for the day.

We got a good down pour earlier. Then a soft rain for a while. Sun is out and the clouds in the distance look threatening.

I'm feeling better. Thanks. I slept a good bit over the last 24 hours. Still don't have all my energy, but I'm working. (So I don't know how much better, but....):D

We have been spared any rain for 2 days, been overcast and chilly.
Could use the rain, we must be down 2-3 inches right now. Usually the grass
doesn't start burning for a few more weeks.

Our grass was straw yesterday. Overnight and today's rain has already perked it up. Nice steady rain now, we need it.................

Pouring here now. Radar shows it probably won't last long.

Some type of storm hit just northwest of our house, we just got cable back.

I'm hearing uprooted trees and some boats were damaged, I heard on the scanner about the uprooted trees but nothing on the boats being damaged because of the wind.

The storm hit about 5 miles northwest of us.

We had some bolts coming out of the sky and some heavy rains but nothing for winds.

I remember reading the special weather statement, they only called for winds up to 30 mph, if it tossed some boats around, it had to be worse.

It came across the radio with the emergency broadcast system, but I guess it was South of us.

Most of the worst stuff was well north of us (your area or Massena,Norfolk or Brasher) and the rest stayed south of us but we did have some hard rains with some lightning.

I do need to clean a few gutters out, freakin pine needles.
