No gas this morning? Usually slamming his caffeine by now.
Back to work after a mid-week appointment and some great evening entertainment! Saw a nostalgic live performance for the fourth. Lots of audience participation. Then listened to a drum and bugle corp blast out some songs.

Finishing a mini-split today and then trying to talk the boss into no more worky for the weeky.

Grandsons landing here today. Should be the usual fun and chaos. Will be getting the trailer out too and the JD loaded on it... for a "haying" trip to the cabin. Will pop in a repaired broken window too. I'm sure the 3 point flies will try to eat us alive. I think they drink Deep Woods Off... ;)

Winging it eh? Well, you suck then.

Did you make the top arch piece with any guide? I did similar for my shed doors, just roughed on a piece of cardboard and it came out OK.

Interesting door, where is it going to live?

I'd really like to get into woodworking, unfortunately it will be trial by fire.

Good morning, might see a clear 80 degrees today, meanwhile I get to wait for the appliance repairman to call.
Grass to mow and a tree limb to cut off the neighbors house, only 6-8 inch diameter and very, very bushy.
Fishing is on the agenda for this evening.

I've only been to work for 6 1/2 hours so far and finally starting to get caught up with where I should have started at 1:30 this morning. But it'll be a long week off here in another 5 3/4 hours...

Wife's on vacation... you would think that would mean we get some time together.. NO.. well the septic debacle is finished.. cleaned up and seeded and grass is growing.. I just finished getting rest of tools put away.. adding up all recepts... 1200.. not bad since had to rebuild 3/4 of it! kids broke puter... aND that little wind rain storm blew some windows out of tracks and broke some clips so apparently we are also replacing 9 windows on house this summer:picard: there are 25 total windows (8 replaced) in house 4 exterior doors and 1 slider.. good news should keep heat loss down...

This door is for my SIL. She said can you make x,y, and z and I was like dunno...but I'll try.

For the arch I just mark the center if the board....lay it square on the corner of my workbench...then mark the same distance from the edge of the board to the center of the board on my bench referencing the adge the board is lin ed up with. I lay out the radius using a stick with some holes drilled in it...cut out on the bandsaw and sand to the line on my drill press with a drum. Little bit of trial and error to get the radius right....I really should just make a drawing bow.

Trial by fire is how I learned. YouTube videos too.

After painting in the full sun 4 over 3 hours I started to feel a little dizzy, a cold glass of water and a nice bowl of cereal snapped me back.

I'll start up painting on the inside of the house in another hour.

You can't count the water in beer as a water ZAP. :picard:

Gasifier heads up on the weather tomorrow, it could get bad, stay safe.

They're calling for destructive winds, two inch hail. Today they give an 81 percent chance of happening.

Thanks man. Tuesday evening around dinner I was trying to walk/run home from town. I had to stop at the Tractor supply and wait out a very dark, nasty looking collection of clouds. It seemed to stop for a while, wind changed direction several times, then it slowly moved on. I was in or just outside of Tractor Supply for about 1/2 an hour. At our house we did not get anything from the storm. Later that night Waddington had wind, rain, and hail that brought trees down. When the storm, if it was the same one, was over us, the clouds were dark blue/purple and almost looked like it was going to start twisting. Glad it didn't.

Helped a buddy move and split some big poplar today (rounds and beaver mound in the back left). Not ideal but he sleeps better at night having it leaning over the house! He picked up a nice oak from his grandmothers that is next in line for the splitter.

Massena had some strong winds and a chit load of hail. The streets were running with water.
