I dug out a bunch of stumps today and then moved them with the grapple to the burn pile. Did some back dragging and burying of rocks. Made some good progress today. The John Deere 210C is running nicely.:)

Im just so tired of all the crap.

I work for a small locally own truck accessory shop.
The Dad/grandpa started it back in like 86.
His Daughter runs it now... Well she owns it, her son runs it.
I basically work with her son all day and its just been a nitemare the past 7 months.

    Enough is enough.

For awhile, what i dealt with was...

If i made a mistake, it was like china was dropping a nuke.
But if the son did anything wrong, which who is my boss, oh it was dandy. Even funny to him
    a few times..

Today was just icing on the cake.
Im fighting a set of bolt on fenders flares for a nissan frontier..
Dane, the son comes strolling up and starts bossing me around.
I asked him 3 times if he wanted to take over and do the job.

I had 2 flares done in about 20 minutes, i did it his way and it took me over
3 hours to do the remaining 2... im not even kidding.

I grabbed all my stuff today..
Brought in a little step stool, some random tools, a ratchet strap,, little stuff
but it was stuff he didnt have. and this stuff made a few of our jobs easier.
I loaded it all up today.
I stocked the fridge last week with water. I took all that also.

    Theres so much more..

We do spray in bedliners for truck beds and whatever else..

Back when i first started doing them on my own, if i had a boo boo it was like
i pooped in the customers truck and was on the verge of getting fired.
Had to drop everything and make sure the mistake was fixed.

Yet... when he would do a spray, and would have a mistake... no big deal.
    he wouldnt even fix it.

Well,. anymore... Im literally better at doing spray in liners then he is and he has
been doing them since like 2002... and i just started there june of 2015....

    No recognition

No "Good job man, this looks good"

i take alot of pride in my spray in bedliners.
I bust my balls for nothing.

    He is a momma's boy.
Its, i need to call my mom for this, i need to call my mom and tell her this i need to
call my mom and tell her that.

We'll be busy as hell, and he'll stand there and stop what he's doing to text his wife atleast 15-20 times
    within 5 hours.

I cant remember when i worked a full day last..
When i first got hired, it was all "oh man we are so busy and yeah we can keep you busy"
and "oh yeah we work until 5" and so on...

2 week pay period... Monday and tuesday, combined... i missed out on 6 hours of work.
Because there was no work... Nothing to do. So i had to clock out.
This isnt a like twice a week thing..
LIke i said, i cant recall the last time i worked until 5pm at this chit hole.

    The ordeal today..

After asking him 3 times if he wanted to take over, his comment was
"You need to learn to take instruction, you dont do it very well"

No listen here you flippin idiot....
    That was it for me!

Theres only 3 of us in the building there.. A salesmen, Him and me.
I done told the salesmen "Well... have to see if i come in tomorrow".

I'll take my fine workmanship else where.
    Friday is pay day.
My check will be in my time card slot when i get there.
Im grabbing it, and thats it. Not clocking in.

$10 says he's wondering "Well Where's Sean at? I wonder where he went...hmmm"

I got passed over for the open maintenance position where I work because I'm too valuable in my current job, so I took the maintenance position at another facility. They were supposed to have two rounds of interviews, but after the first round I was offered the job. Today.

For me it's a good thing. I look forward to no longer working weekends and holidays. And my hours won't be dependant upon someone else showing up.

Let me tell you something LinkedXJ. I have always tried to live by the rule of having a new job BEFORE I quit the current one I had. That being said, I did quit a couple jobs over the years that I just couldn't stand the work (boring, tedious, indoor work) or the boss would treat you badly. Not worth it. Must find something you like and work for people who are good to you.

Sometimes you have to work at something you aren't crazy about to pay the bills though. I've done that many times too LinkedXJ . But you have to like what your doing eventually.

I admit, this is gonna sting a little. But it comes from the heart and a genuine desire to see you do better. It's the truth as I've experienced it.

If you expect to be paid like a professional, and treated like a professional, then you gotta act the part. It's not enough to have talent coming out of your sphincter. You gotta get along. Even tho you already have another gig lined up, leaving your current employer high and dry with no notice, cleaning out the shop (even if it is your stuff), and no replacement will mean that you have wasted the last year's worth of time with them. Even if you only have a 50/50 shot at getting a decent future reference out of him, you are about to make that chance 0%. 0% that he'll take you back if the need arises, and 0% that he'll help you move on and step up.
