Grocery run with the dogs...the man of the house forgot to get milk yesterday...that darn schlot.

Picked up some construction debris around the museum cabin this morning. We have two scouts doing Eagle Scout projects. I told them they could pile the wood scraps, etc. and I'd run them to the landfill to help out.

Getting ready for church. Missed all of May so I thought I'd better go today. :)

A nice steady rain moved in here earlier than predicted. I changed plans and cut a few pounds of rhubarb to make preserves. This is part one of the plan.

My rhubarb came up really spindly and sickly this year. Of course leaving it in the same spot for 20 years hasn't helped. this summer I hope to move to a better spot and split up the main clump. People have been selling rhubarb around here but I am having a hard time getting my mind around buying rhubarb.

Last time I made rhubarb and strawberry jam, I ended up with it going crystalline after I opened it. Don't know what I did wrong.

After a week of rain and drizzle which we needed, today is clear and gorgeous. Campinspecter and the dogs have gone for a walk. I am nursing a big blister so no walking for a while. I hope to get some weeding in today. I have some summer bulbs to plant before they all sprout in the bag. My lavender is about to bloom big time so I should get the weeds out so you can see it. The peonies are awesome this year. never had so many blooms.

Thanks for the heads up thewoodlands! We just had a complete down pour for about 25 minutes. That was after about three hours of on/off rain this morning. We are soaked now. Glad I was in the cab on the 210 when that down pour came. And have the grapple to help load "things". I may or may not have started a small . . . .

Kind of a slow day today so far. Seeded some more of the yard where the garden was last year (went strictly to tomato and pepper plants this year), set and leveled an oversized pallet for some of the ash I have waiting to be split and stacked and filled out a rack of shoulder season wood at the house (silver maple, pine and a little ash/elm).

Into the 80s now so the wood work is over for the day. :)

Lots of things accomplished today. Spent some time with the family on a day off. First we all had a nice breakfast together that I cooked. Thick cut bacon, scrambled eggs with a little sharp cheese mixed in, and English muffins. We received a lot of rain, which allowed me to get rid of a "little" brush I had around. And I also spread new seed on about 3-1/2 to 4 acres of the horse pasture. Four 25 lb. bags at of an Equine grass mixture. At $50/bag I hope it grows well. My wife ran to Lowes and bought two more sections of hose so we could keep it watered every day. I skipped lunch after a big breakfast and then my wife made a dinner she thought the kids would like. They wanted something different. So she cooked us all Hot Dogs with Chili, onions, and cheese and French fries and salad to go with. Needless to say I didn't skip dinner.

So my see-food diet went well today thewoodlands!:picard: :flipeggs::stirpot::beerbbq::grizz: :wacky:

By this Thursday I should be down to 216 from 232 in late February , once I lose another 8 from 216, I'm at my goal.

Gasifier , once I hit my target weight, I'll be making a trip for a very large pizza from Sergi's.

Looks like we might get some more rain before its all over thewoodlands . What do you think, is it on your radar? Weather channel says good chance around 11-12 tonight. The sky here right now does not show it.

Update...... Now the percentage has gone down. :picard:Again.
