    Mowed the lawn for the first time of the season this evening. 55 out there now, was just a bit cool as the wind had already died down. Little black gnats just couldn't keep up with me while on that mower!

    Going to try to get the 'maters and peppers in the ground today. This is the only day without rain in seems like forever.

    Chicken ranching season officially begins today. 160 cornish-x chicks went into the brooder this morning.

    Black gnats are even worse today then yesterday! (worst?)
    The snow birds are back at the cottage! Dropped by there this afternoon and saw smoke coming from the chimney-tell tale sign!

    Oh I will.... Even if it's with toes... There's another decent shot at rain tomorrow evening. So crossing my fingers that by tomorrow late morning to early afternoon, I'll get my chance. If not maybe by Sunday afternoon. If not then it'll be another week before I get another opportunity....but I'll take the rain now, cause when the faucet shuts off this summer it'll be hot and dry....

    Still waiting on last chance of frost had had frost and hail monday... Weekend chance with rain for 5 days highs in 50s... since I am on sand water is not too much problem after ground unfreezes.

    Saw 1st Hummingbird this a.m. . Supposed to be clear and 76 today. Saturday night is supposed to be rain and wet snow with a low of 28. Sounds reasonable...............we had 2" of snow last Saturday night................welcome to spring in the valley......:rofl: :lol:

    In the direct sun today we had 84, that was the reading around 3 p.m. after we came back from out in the boat.

    Just some pictures of our outing, lots of planes flying overhead today, we counted 8.

    Sure did... what a day of music! Played 4 hours. Sounded great. I'd been setting up a decent area in the basement for us to play and it passed inspection with the guys... and they can't wait to get back and go again. Me too... :dex:
